Video Evidence: Another Positive Performance From One Spurs Player Who Was A Free Kick Magnet Against Arsenal

Lucas Moura deserves a mention in dispatches and not just for winning free-kicks. Additionally, it is worth mentioning that the Brazilian has form for winning free-kicks. He picked up 6 against Wolfsberger in the Europa League, on 18.02.2021, and 4 in the FA Cup on 10.02.2021, against Everton. This is incidentally one of Jack Grealish’s great playing traits.

As with Erik Lamela, the willingness of Luca Moura to pick up the ball and run can cause disruption and opportunity.

If Nagelsmann comes in, what do you think he will do? Will he suddenly play brilliant football and get top results with mostly the same players who are often sh*t now and were sh*t under Poch in the last two seasons? Genuinely curious.

The answer is not bringing in another manager. Getting Nagelsmann or any other fashionable name would just mean discarding this season and most of last season and again starting anew. Why would we do that, given what happened with Poch and AVB?

I suppose I am a “Jose cultist” too – but for me, that just means finally backing a manager instead of hoping against hope that Winks turns into Iniesta, Sissoko into Casemiro, and Doherty into Roberto Carlos.

The squad still needs refreshing, no matter who’s the coach. And – to repeat myself – I think it’s better to have a guy who wins things in charge for that.

Jose isn’t achieving what he was brought in to do, get us in the top 4. Plus the football on the whole has been turgid. Wrong fit of manager or players perhaps, but it isn’t working. No matter how many Jose cultists wish it would.

If we played most games like we did against that Croatian lot in midweek then I’d be happy, fact is that’s the exception and not the norm, and it’s generally against low ranked opponents.

Manager’s not doing it mate…

Nom and Gio wasn’t being backed after a whole year of nothing.

Two 22 year olds who had never played in the Premiership and 19n year old Sessingnon is backing? With the amount of issues the squad had developed after being neglected? I hope you’re not being serious…

No Champions League qualification could well have a clause attached as well as the 2m bonus for achieving it.

If a manager comes in and says “I’ll get us into the Champions League” surely the chairman will say “what if you don’t?” do you think the replay will be, “well then I suppose you’ll have to pay out my massive contract in full to remove me…”

Maureen wouldn’t walk surely… When Botch was finally backed, given his club record signing Ndom and Gio, our net wage went above Liverpools, and thats when we folded. To let Botchy target more record signings like that would be frightening… Choice of any manager after Maureen then I would go for the next most successful, Pep Guardiola.

If he walks out with Spuds in mid table, who’ll pay him 15 mil a year to wind down his career? He’ll leave with a huge payout or go nowhere.

Ok, lets talk hypotheticals for now.

My theory is that Jose will walk in the summer, probably voluntarily. So who’s out there that might be a reasonable shout as manager number 14 under Levy?

Naglesmann probably suits the ‘project’ of future building hype we have all seen before the best.

He tried it with AVB and eventually Poch who looked put to the job of working with young squad but wasn’t backed. You can bet that’ll be back in place, possibly with the return of the dreaded DOF…

Bale had one that led to a goal against Antwerp, and Kane struck the bar at City, but generally, our free kicks are shocking. If I had a penny for every time a commentator says “Well, it would be tough to find better free kick takers than Kane and Bale”, I could buy us a free kick specialist.

I can barely remember what position Lo Celso plays anymore. Very good player with the makings of a great, but have we seen him in 2021?

Arsenal have had their moment in the sun….Man U, Man City, Liverpool and Chelsea will be the constant in this story…Spurs will sit in debt for the next 50 years winning nothing whilst Arsenal’s owners will take the cream from the top whilst keeping them “competitive”..

Levy will try his hardest to put Spurs into this “insert name” European League claiming we area a “big” club because we sell a lot of beer and pyjama’s…w*nkers..

Ah I feel better now knowing that, the Derby has completely slipped my mind. I suppose Bale was absent for some of those, free kicks is the one area that Harry has yet to master. Lo Celso if he ever returns can help out there.
