Unwanted records piling up for Jose Mourinho after loss to Man Utd

By Bruce Grove -

Jose Mourinho broke some unwanted records in Tottenham’s 3-1 loss to Manchester United this evening.

The Special One is one of the best managers to have coached in the Premier League and he was given the Tottenham job because of his reputation for winning trophies.

He is managing a Tottenham team that has some of the Premier League’s best players including Harry Kane and Son Heung-min, yet the team is struggling.

Their loss to United is their 10th league loss of the season and Goal.com reveals that it is the worst he has endured in a single campaign as a manager.

Mourinho has the reputation for being one the best defence-minded managers around, yet today’s defeat means Spurs have given away 18 points from winning positions this season. That figure is also the worst in Mourinho’s managerial career.

Additionally, that defeat was also the first time that Mourinho has lost a home game to the Red Devils.

The Spurs manager hasn’t been confident about his defence all season and in recent games, they have proven him right.

If they don’t improve at defending, they risk seeing their season fade into obscurity.

I’m not convinced Mr Lewis feels suicidal.
