Two years ago to this day, Tottenham Hotspur beat Champions League holders Real Madrid 3-1 at Wembley.
It was the biggest result of Mauricio Pochettino’s reign and has arguably only been eclipsed since by last year’s semi-final.
Dele Alli, close to the peak of his powers, scored twice, and Christian Eriksen, long before he stopped trying, added the third.
Tottenham’s official Twitter page celebrated the anniversary of that memorable night with the highlights video below:
A magical night at Wembley.

Fast-forward to the present day and the manager who masterminded that victory is teetering, the two match-winners unrecognisable, the team of European conquerors losing to Brighton, Newcastle and Colchesters.
We want this Tottenham back.
