Tottenham has made a fine start to the season and it seems that this campaign has some good things in store for the club’s fans.
Their overall performance has been helped by the fine form of most of their players so far.
Two players, in particular, have stood out for Jose Mourinho’s side, Harry Kane and Heung Min Son.
Both players have formed a potent front two that cannot seem to stop scoring at the moment.
Kane assisted Son with four goals against Southampton earlier in the season and both players combined well again to help Tottenham score their goals in the 3-3 draw against West Ham this weekend.
Kane had two goals and an assist, while Son scored once.
Kane’s performance moved him to the top of the Premier League Power Rankings as reported by Sky Sports.
Son has now dropped down a level to 2nd on the rankings. The South Korean was on the top of that ranking before the international break after his fine start to the season and he will hope to get back there after his next Premier League game.
The Spurs duo topped the rankings ahead of the likes of Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah and Everton’s Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
World class and they are ours!!
Agree ,Harry can use both feet unlike many and if he is getting the shots in he is in the right place or setting himself up so all good!
Hope fully he gets rested and stays fit ,his assists will be doing most top midfielders by the end of the season.
After all the injuries and always coming back to soon i thought we had seen the best of Harry but ohh boy he really is just getting better!
I feel for the boy.
No such thing as a greedy striker. (Especially one with untold assists. Kane. Keep doing what you do.
I love these stats and the way I read it is that generally speaking, if you aren’t taking the shots and you aren’t hitting the target enough, eventually your goals will dry up.
What I think these stats suggest is that Kane is the only one that can keep up his scoring rate, the others are going through a purple patch whereas Kane’s is sustainable. At 1 goal per game, that’s pretty impressive.
Since Mourinho took over Kane & Son have more goals & assists than any other partnerships. More bad luck for ex Spurs player Luke Amos who is out for the season with another ACL injury.
If you go onto the BBC website and look at the top goalscorers in the PL both Sonny and Harry are in the top five. However Harry’s shot conversion and shot accuracy are well below quite a few on the list.
This might support the theory of some that he is trying to hard or is too greedy. However his assists put him on another level altogether.
