Turkish giants set to make a move for Tottenham outcast as he rots on the sidelines

By Bruce Grove -

After an underwhelming time at Tottenham, Gedson Fernandes might get to play football regularly again this season.

This is because the latest report on his future claims that Galatasaray is prepared to take him this month for the rest of the season.

He joined Tottenham a year ago as one of the first signings at the club under Jose Mourinho.

He was expected to do great things in London, and Tottenham even agreed to the option of making his transfer permanent at the end of its loan period.

He has been underwhelming so far and hasn’t played a league game for them this season.

With six months left on his loan deal at the Tottenham stadium, Spurs have reportedly been looking to cut short his stay with them.

Benfica is willing to accept that, but only if he would get another team to sign him for the rest of the season.

Tuttomercatoweb is now reporting that Galatasaray is willing to take him on loan for the next six months.

The Turkish side is fighting for the league title, and they want to strengthen their squad in this transfer window.

It may not be a good look if Spurs allow Gedson to leave this month and do not bring anyone new in, squad depth is important and now is not the time to weaken the squad, even with fringe players.

Who scouted and recommended this player? Whoever it was is clueless.

Learnt to play right back in about a month. I rated that. Them long legs got some tackles in. Tottenham/premier League was just too soon for him.
