The loss against Arsenal was always bound to cause some angst and no better place to find it than on Twitter where fans really do pride themselves on typing the very first primal thoughts that cross their minds.

Curiously enough, I noticed on Tanguy Ndombele’s Instagram account that the Frenchman has made a point of telling folks that he specifically isn’t on Twitter. Which I think speaks volumes.

This post from Tanguy has caused many fans to react angrily. The main driver for this upset appears to be less about the interpretation of whom the 24-year-old was aiming his ‘Stay Focus’ comment at, but more about seizing any opportunity to have a dig at the player.
I take a view that the bilk of the squad is tired and that Tanguy wasn’t alone in having a pretty naff day at the office. Watching his performance and going through his post-match numbers, there was nothing to actually get riled about. Opposed to making mistakes, it was more of a largely unmemorable performance.
A pity Tanguy isn’t on Twitter, he’s missing all the fun.

ManU away. Sheffield United away. Wolves away. Just three that spring to mind. There were more but it’s useful to have a scapegoat.
Arsenal away wasn’t a great day for anybody, maybe bar Lucas and Toby, and Lamela to an extent. Ndombele is a relative newcomer and can’t be expected to drag the team out of the mire himself. Why didn’t Kane do that? Or Bale?
None spring to mind. An occasional dribble or piece of skill but more so spending a lot o( time on the seat of his pants.
Just insert Ndombele name instead of Peter Griffin –
Running gag in Family Guy, wherein Peter Griffin trips and hurts his knee. Peter clutches his knee and deeply inhales with a great hissing sound, followed by a pained “Ahhhhhh!” in exhalation. He does this same thing repeatedly for a ridiculously long period of time.
Please name any standout performances in the league?
He didn’t have a great game but almost no one did. To say you “can’t recall any stand out moments in the league” is a bit much.
Bale has had more than his share of apologists who spent seven months demanding that he play, despite his injuries and lack of faith in his own body, and so far, we got two good performances (Palace, Burnley) and some not so good or outright horrible (Brighton, Fulham, City, Arsenal), so he deserves criticism too. But the negative attention these days goes especially Doherty’s way.
I said weeks back that this guy really doesnt fancy it. He is the Polar opposite of a Roy Keane, always looks in pain and not happy .
On Sunday Put 100% effort in Playing a deep lying role ,all his effort put into keeping a defensive shape , chasing shadows , closing ,not getting the ball played into his feet that often , when he did receive the ball his forward outlets are pretty much in touching distance of where he has the ball
shame on him
The dawn of social media – dreadful experiment akin to Planet of the Apes. Bags of talent Ndombele, he’s a baller, nobody can touch him, yada, yada.
Can’t recall any stand out moments in the league. All the negative attention gets deflected to Bale, for a big guy he likes to go hiding instead of being the focal point.
