Tottenham will not change their transfer stance despite the signing of Matt Doherty

Despite signing Matt Doherty, Tottenham remains adamant that Serge Aurier will only leave the club for the right price.

The Ivorian defender hasn’t been good enough for Spurs and the Lilywhites have now signed Matt Doherty from Wolves.

The Republic of Ireland international has been courted by Jose Mourinho for some time now and they have gone and got the deal done.

Mourinho will be happy with his business this summer and although more players might come, he will also want to sell Aurier as soon as possible.

The Ivorian has been attracting the attention of AC Milan for some time now and the Italians have put in an official bid.

Football-Italia claims that Spurs have received a bid of around 15 million euros from the former European champions, but Daniel Levy has rejected it.

The report claims that Spurs want 20 million euros for the defender and although they have signed Doherty as his replacement, they will still not let Aurier go cheaply.

Aurier, who has been an inconsistent option for Spurs, is also open to the move away from Mourinho’s team, but he will remain a Tottenham player if the Italians or any other interested club cannot pay Spurs asking price.
