Tottenham urged to make a move for Liverpool star “He is everything we need”

By Bruce Grove -

Tottenham old boy, Jamie O’Hara has urged Spurs to make a move for Liverpool captain, Jordan Henderson.

Henderson is one of England’s most underrated footballers, he helped Liverpool to win the Premier League after a 30-year wait and he also won the Champions League with them.

He was a serious contender for the England captaincy before Harry Kane beat him to it.

The midfielder is negotiating a new contract with Liverpool, but in a boost to Tottenham’s chances of signing him should they become interested, The Athletic reported earlier that not much progress has been made in the talks between him and Liverpool.

Several clubs would jump at the chance to sign Henderson even though he isn’t the most technically gifted midfielder.

He is an inspirational figure who could provide quality leadership in the Tottenham dressing room.

O’Hara says he is the type of player Spurs need even though he admits that such a transfer would be very tough to pull off.

He said to Talksport as cited by The Liverpool Echo: “I would love him at Spurs. He is everything we need.

“He’s a leader. A character on the pitch. He’s a driving force in midfield. I would absolutely love him to be at Spurs.”

Henderson is solid, and reliable but is far too expensive for Levy.. ironically if he did sign he would be our best right back…🤣

We need some Henderson /Milner type players. Veterans with a winning attitude.

Too Old for Spurs, and wouldn’t be interested anyway.

Nobody should ever listen to a single word Jamie O’Hara says. He was a below average footballer and he’s continued that form into his “media” career. Talksport just hire him for lols and stupid statements. See above.

Don’t forget how well Hojberg played for us last season and in the Euro’s. Jordan Henderson is not the answer to any question anyone may have about our squad right now.

Whatever you think of O’Hara and his statements, and I’m no fan,he is right about Henderson. He has the character and fighting spirit sadly lacking in our team at the moment..He would be a great signing.

However bearing in mind his Pool links and having won everything with them,a move to Spurs is unlike;y to inspire him even offering him the captaincy.PEH might be a bit miffed about that though.
