Tottenham trio tipped to help them win the Premier League

Franck McAvennie has tipped Son Heung-min, Gareth Bale and Harry Kane to fire Tottenham to the league title like the Liverpool front three did last season.

Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino are the most famous attacking trio in the Premier League and they have been credited for helping Liverpool end their 30-year wait to win the Premier League.

Tottenham now has the chance to line up with a formidable front three of their own after they signed Gareth Bale on loan from Real Madrid in the summer.

The Welsh winger is back after seven years away from the club and McAvennie reckons that the Tottenham front-three might become the talk of the town this campaign.

He claimed that Son and Kane are forming a partnership that is similar to that of Riyad Mahrez and Jamie Vardy which won the Premier League title for Leicester City in 2016.

He told Football Insider: “Last year it was the front three of Liverpool and with Bale coming back it might now be the front three of Tottenham.

“The two of them (Son and Kane) work well together. He’s an intelligent player, Kane, he’s coming deep and Son is running by him so it’s working well.

“Leicester won the league with Vardy doing that and Mahrez coming short and it worked brilliantly.

“Defenders don’t like running over the top, doesn’t matter about their pace. I don’t understand why people don’t do that more.”

Taking each game on it’s merits save for Fulham who already at this early stage look destined for the drop it’s an unpredictable league this season. Previously cautious lets not underestimate Brighton who with the exciting lightening quick Tariq Lampety in their ranks play a much more expansive game capable of scoring goals!

I’m looking forward to when Liverpool play a high line against Son, Kane and Bale.

We can only get better imo. Like you say we proved we can win dirty on Monday night. We’ve also proved we can thrash teams. Just need to learn to either shut up shop properly or not take our foot off the gas when we’re dominating teams. This season we’ve got the extra bodies for each position, plus that long awaited 2nd striker. All the pieces of the puzzle are coming together and in our manager we have a serial winner, we even have a multiple CL winner in our team now to encourage the dressing room that it can be done.

Agreed and we know what happened in 2016, a poor start to the season ultimately costing us concluding with ugly scenes at the Battle of the Bridge when all neutrals wanted the Foxes to win the PL title that season!!
What it takes to win titles is a bit of luck, consistency and the ability to win ugly on occasions!!

This will be the best opportunity since 2016. It’s in our hands.

Our attacking options have never been an issue, we are scoring a fair few like always and with Bale we are stronger, no doubt. Thankfully, City, Liverpool, Utd and Chelsea have defensive issues, so we are matched more evenly. This is going to be a topsy turvy league campaign. The VVD injury has thrown it even more wide open because the Villa game showed they were susceptible to being broken down. Along with the usual suspects, Leicester and Everton fans reckon they have a chance, but 7 into 4 will not go! Top 4 or bust for sure, but it could end up better than that.
