Tottenham Striker Target Close To Agreeing A Deal, Only Not With Us

By The Boy -

Sky Sport’s Lyall Thomas tends to have a decent grip on most things, and given his first passion is Brentford, it is extremely likely that he would have some understanding of the London side’s transfer activity. If Ollie Watkins is going to be sold for some £28million, plus add-ons, then that is Tottenham out of the race – if indeed – we were ever truly in it, in the first instance.

This is what many fans wanted, though. For our investment company ENIC to plough all their resources into the stadium, in the vain hope that by 2050, there might be some sense of trickle down, back to what ENIC refer to themselves as the business’ core tenant.

Outbid for a Championship striker, by a side that themselves avoided relegation last time out by the proverbial gnat’s whisker. Thank goodness Harry Kane doesn’t have a track record of being sidelined by injury!

Don’t worry, when has the Levy – Hitchen combo ever let a coach down?

Levy the old romantic, is banking on the lure of the cockerel to be enough for players to agitate for a move to the mighty Spurs. That is the ace up his sleeve.

Expect the resigning of Llorente to be announced over the next couple of days.

Remember Everton had agreed £25m for Hojbjerg, and Levy got him for £15m plus add on’s. If the player Watkins wants to play for a top six side under Jose competing in Europe ,or fighting relegation at the Villa with Dean Smith it’s his choice. What happened to the £18m buy out clause disclosed after losing the play off final.

To dare is to do nothing…….except buy on the cheap. Potentially another “target” slips by Levy. He seems to be the living embodiment of inertia where transfers are concerned. Let’s hope Kane has been rebuilt of granite otherwise we are royally up the swanee.
