ENIC’s Humiliation Of THFC Gathers Pace With The Latest Hateful Merch Release

By The Boy -

Despite the Shopping Centre being opened and fully functional, there’s been no update on the amount of games that ENIC will be allowed to host at this multi-purpose venue.

Oh, I’m sorry, you’re not still calling it The Lane, are you? Oh, bless. How sweet.

Let’s revisit these quotes from Tottenham’s Head of Business Development Aidan Mullally – from of March of this year.

It is an NFL stadium and that’s the key message. From the very start during the design phase, we have had the NFL in mind. The anchor tenant is Tottenham Hotspur, but this is designed to be a permanent home for the NFL outside the US. The NFL has been involved in the design process from the get-go.”

iNews

This isn’t our stadium any more.

This is now merely a landing stage for the NFL in the UK. Hence, there’s so little relating to THFC referenced around the place.

Now, the club site is offering a frankly horrific range of pseudo NFL/pseudo football merchandise, to push the suggestion further.

The football club side of the business has been woefully neglected. Anyone who still doesn’t understand the direction of travel here needs to give their heads a wobble.

This is humiliating. Or do you have a better word to describe it?

Don’t worry about any of the sports that wish to use our stadium (when we are not) none of them are a threat to the mighty spurs. (NONE OF DEM) the team will always be the main event. The brand (as its known to the money wankers) is safe. Spurs will never play second fiddle to any other outfits at the our place.

100 ball cricket will be better 😊. The old traditionalist already moaning about them not wearing whites yet they wanna attract a younger audience to the game. You couldn’t make it up. Poor test cricket. It ain’t got long. Cricket about to get phunky and exciting. I’m loving the kits.

Humpty dumptys masterplan wont work.. American football will never take off in this country. Theres a reason those guys are padded up with helmets.. Severe head trauma, brain damage concurs many pros and veterans… The key reason is all uk schools would never allow it with health and safety gone mad.. It’s also a little bit shit.. I know many sports lovers from rugby to chess and nobody likes nfl… 99 per cent of yiddos would have chose to keep the lane over this shit

If the form continues to suffer and there’s a period of 8th to 12th type finishes I wonder what will happen. 60’000 was always way over what’s required. The hardcore is 21/24 thousand I reckon.

yeah – well I would be willing to predict a merger or two of some London clubs – especially if the euro league happens. Could you imagine us and the goons combining resources. I would hate it it, but a businessman somewhere would be licking his lips.

in 2019 9 of the top most valuable sports teams are NFL – compared to 4 football teams – only 1 from the EPL (Man united) in top 30, only 2 EPL teams compared to 18 NFL teams. so 32 NFL teams with 18 in the top 30 riches clubs…20 PL teams with 2 in the top 30…so will NFL be valuable enough…yes! On another note ALL the NFL teams are more valuable than last year with all bar Real and City in the top 30 football teams more valuable.
Spurs don’t feature in top 50 sports clubs in value accoriding to Forbes. Spurs valued at $1.6bln we would probably only just make top 75.

It seems it was just south of 2K less than capacity, yet more strangely than for the match against Bayern. The novelty I guess although we had a few games at the end of last season.
The telling think is that it is a long way from becoming a fortress for us ensuring maximum points for our home games. The current form is very patchy.
You’re right though we need to get this info to as many people as possible, although sadly there is a large percentage of supporters who will refuse to see the obvious deception by ENIC.

was asking clasford about community tickets. He said there won’t be any unless Tottenham buy them off the NFL then hand them out to the community (they wont) the yanky bwoy dem are renting the stadium/venue this is why you probably won’t see any Tottenham stuff about the place. (Its all about their ting) We’re just renting out the bloody place to get a few quid in what’s the big deal. When they go they gotta leave it how they found it. People wanna go watch sport i can’t see what the problem is. Big up all local traders.

I didn’t even know that on the first match vs Palace in the new stadium, it wasn’t full!?
That sort of says everything about the absolute waste of time the move is.

Whilst I agree that THFC have been asset stripped by Levy and Enic for their own ill-gotten gains, I can’t help wondering as to how popular is NFL football going to be compared to Premier League? In my opinion, all American sport is crap, that goes for NFL, baseball, basketball and pool. Once Spurs supporters stop going to watch a dying team, is the NFL going to be enough to satisfy the greed of Enic and Levy and to repay the debt? If we don’t qualify for the Champions League, endure falling season ticket sales and ground attendances, the finances won’t look so rosy, particularly with the probability of a full blown recession looming.

Yes, the terrain will be changing big time over next 20 years. This insidious merging of sports is all too telling.
Got called mad for suggesting these type of things 2 or 3 years ago, now the owners have come out and confirmed our fears.

wont be Hotspurs – will need to be an animal the yanks can get behind. Likely it will be the London “dolphins” or London “Jaguars” what ever franchise draws the short straw.
Could cause an interesting impact to our Rugby too, having an NFL team in the UK, wont be long before they pluck talent.

Would it be inconceivable that THFC, as a wholly owned subsidiary, is paying rent to Enic to use the ground?

Well – we know the debt is circa £700m – so you would assume the number would be at the very least £2bln, potentially over and above £2.7bln considering the “profits” the ones declared and those not (like the £400m that seems to have vanished over the past few years). The question is, is our club worth £2bln, hell, even £1bln considering the new training facility, and the stadium don’t belong to THFC anymore, but the debt does.

Good job H. This needs to be reiterated as much as possible because the majority don’t seem to understand what has been done to THFC. WHL was demolished and replaced with an American football stadium. As you say, its NOT Tottenham Hotspurs ground. They don’t care about the football club.
Lewis being the old hunting buddy of Soros and benefactor of financial crashes will likely have better knowledge of socio-political events in the future. Anyone paying attention will see things in the states are on a knife edge, of course in Europe too. What will the NFL look like after certain events? Maybe they are planning to rebrand the football club to an NFL franchise? The London Hotspurs? After the Euro super league comes in, which THFC ain’t invited into, the direction this is heading looks pretty horrific.
Spurs will live on in our hearts but I fear for them outside of that as the years pass.

not to mention – they own their stadium, I don’t believe we do anymore as the asset was stripped and shifted to a sub company – or at least I thought it was. Cant find record of it.

The figure mooted is probably nearer £4 billion, so it’s doubtful that anyone would be interested. With net debt of approximately £600 mill, albeit with a long term maturity, and an ageing team which is now worth less than half it’s peak value, are Spurs an attractive proposition for a buyer when you take into account that the team needs completely refreshing which could cost £400 mill? As a businessman, aren’t Newcastle are far more attractive at £300 mill?

Worse than humiliating & things like this are drip fed so we don’t notice it. Wonder what figure Big Joe has in mind to sell – 1 billion? 2? The old fella can’t have long left & I hate to imagine who would inherit us. Let’s hope he hasn’t left the whole lot to Danny Boy. Makes you wonder why the ruskies or the Arabs haven’t tried to but us ……
