Tottenham star’s agent is in England to ‘discuss’ approach from English clubs ahead of a summer move

Lucas Moura’s time at Tottenham Hotspur could be coming to an end, as the Brazilian star is set to leave the club in the summer.

According to UOL, a Brazilian outlet, Moura is searching for a “long-term project” and has received interest from clubs in England, Saudi Arabia, and Major League Soccer (MLS) in the United States.

The 30-year-old is reportedly open to all options but is said to prefer remaining in Europe, particularly in England.

His agent is believed to be in the country to discuss the approaches from the unnamed English clubs.

Previous reports by The Sun have linked Moura with moves to Everton, Crystal Palace, and Southampton.

According to Foot Mercato, Qatari club Al-Saad were also ‘close’ to signing the player in January, with Spurs willing to sell him for €5million. But despite the lucrative offer from Al-Saad, Moura ultimately refused to join the club.

Moura was a crucial player for Tottenham under former manager Mauricio Pochettino, playing a vital role in their journey to the Champions League final in 2019.

Moura joined Tottenham in 2017 from Paris Saint-Germain for a fee of around €28 million. In his 213 appearances for the North London club, he has scored 38 goals and provided 27 assists.

That is 65 goal contributions in 213 appearances.

It remains to be seen where Moura will end up, but his skills and experience make him a valuable addition to any team.

It is interesting to see whether he chooses to stay in England or moves abroad. Wherever he goes, he will be remembered by Spurs fans fondly.
