Tottenham star wants out – will terminate contract ‘soon’, is ‘close’ to joining European club

According to Italian football reporter Gianluca Di Marzio, Tottenham Hotspur star Ivan Perisic is reportedly set to terminate his contract with the club.

The versatile player joined Tottenham last summer on a free transfer from Inter Milan, during the tenure of former manager Antonio Conte.

However, with Conte’s departure from Tottenham, Perisic’s future with the team has become uncertain.

Recent reports have linked him with a potential return to Italy, specifically a move back to Inter Milan.

Additionally, Turkish club Fenerbahce have also been mentioned as a possible destination for the Croatian winger.

A recent report from a Turkish outlet claims that the club are engaged in talks with him to terminate his contract which would have been in favour of the Turkish club since they would have gotten him for a free.

And according to the latest report from Sky Italia’s Gianluca Di Marzio, the Croatian is indeed on his way out but not to Turkey.

As per him he is ‘close’ to returning to his home country Croatia with HNK Hajduk Split.

He also confirms that the player is set to ‘terminate his contract’ in order to complete the move.

The decision to move back to Croatia over the likes of Turkey and Saudi Arabia could be deemed an emotional one as he will potentially return to the club where he spent time during his days as a youth player.

Perisic had a decent stint at Spurs. He made 44 appearances across all competitions last season, scored one goal and providing 12 assists.
