The Guardian claims that Son Heung-min is set to get a new deal at Spurs that will see him earn a significant upgrade on his current £140,000-a-week.
He signed his current deal in 2018 and he has remained a key player that keeps getting better for the club.
The Guardian claims that his fine start to the season has prompted several teams to keep an eye on him and Tottenham knows that they cannot lose him.
The report further states that the club plans to start talks on a new contract that would see him earn £200,000-a-week, which will take him into the same wage bracket as Harry Kane and Tanguy Ndombele.
Son has been one of the biggest players in the Premier League for years and this season, he has begun to show that he is on the same level with the likes of Mohamed Salah and Raheem Sterling.
Spurs spent on their squad in the last transfer window and they will want to keep their top players happy by offering them improved deals, and Son will likely be the first to sign an extension.
The report also adds that the club doesn’t expect to encounter problems with him when they table their new offer.
Son and Kane ok, but Ndombele hasn’t earned that much yet, so that surprises me.
