Tottenham relegated target prefers a move to Premier League rivals

By Bruce Grove -

Josh King has openly chosen a move to Manchester United over Tottenham and his other suitors.

He was speaking on his future recently and he insisted that a move to the Red Devils would be amazing.

He spent five of his development years at the Premier League giants and he was linked with a return there in the last January transfer window.

United tried to get a deal done, but the Cherries, who were battling relegation at the time, simply refused to sell.

The player admitted that he was keen on a return to Old Trafford at the time and despite interest from Spurs, he would still want to move to Ole Gunnar Solkjear’s side.

Spurs have been strengthening their team ahead of the new season and they will be looking to add a striker before the season starts.

Harry Kane is their main goal-getter, but Jose Mourinho wants a new backup striker and King is one of his targets.

But he seems to still have his mind on a return to Old Trafford.

“I will not lie, because I really wanted to go there in January, but what happened, happened,” said King via Team Talk.

“I know why things happened. We’ll just have to wait and see. There is a lot that is open.

“I have a dream to play in the Champions League.

“Whether it will happen this season or in two years, I do not know. But I have a dream about it that all boys have.

“What if United are still interested? That would be amazing. I was at United for five years and I learned a lot there.”

Re Josh King – A higher wage offer perchance?

Coys1882, what a wonderfully interesting semi-informed and wildly unbridled mind you have.
