Tottenham receive transfer boost as Premier League target does not want to move abroad

By Bruce Grove -

Tottenham will be glad to hear the latest news on the future of Max Aarons because it puts them in a better position than his other suitors to land him.

The Englishman has been one of the best players in the relegated Norwich City side that struggled for much of this season.

As it became clear that they would be relegated, teams started paying attention to the future of Aarons.

The Englishman is simply too good to be playing in the English second tier and he looks very likely to join a top side.

Spurs have had to rely on Serge Aurier alone in that position since Jose Mourinho became their manager, and he will now look to add Aarons.

Bayern Munich is the other team with a strong interest in his signature, but the Germans will have to concede defeat in their pursuit after the latest revelation.

Kicker, via Insidefutbol, claims that the defender is not going to join Bayern Munich because he doesn’t want to leave England yet.

This will put Spurs in the driving seat in their bid to land him.

Aarons is one player who has huge potential to develop into a top star as he is still just 20, yet he has played almost 100 games for Norwich in just two seasons.

This latest development is indeed interesting because Spurs could not have competed financially with Bayern, however, with the German giants out of the running now, if this report is true of course, it does give Tottenham a far clearer path.

Correct, he’ll be slipping into his annual coma any day now. He only resurfaces again on deadline day in a mad panic and buys some useless cretin that nobody else wants.

TBH I’m just desperate to see a new RB that isn’t accident prone. Serge is a lovely bloke and his heart is in the right place and all that, but he doesn’t half give me heart palpitations when he’s playing. Besides we need a RB for England and Europe.

FB/CB/DM…that’s almost the dream ticket Sid.
Add a back up for Harry and I will only hate Levy 50% of what I do now.

In the driving seat??!! Since when has that happened with us??? Levy barely gets out of first gear with transfers, so I would expect little or no progress on this one.

English, Korean and danish – I’d be happy with those three additions. If they happen
