Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly prepared to sell Welsh defender Joe Rodon during the summer transfer window.
The 25 year old moved to Spurs from Swansea for £11m and since then has barely featured for the club.
He has a total of just 24 appearances across all competitions, most of them coming under Jose Mourinho, who saw much potential in him.
He has previously been quoted saying (via football.london):
“He’s perfect. Works very hard, young guy, wants to learn, very enthusiastic. He played already matches that represent a lot, he played important matches against some of the best teams.”
But he was not part of Conte’s plans last year and was loaned out to French side Rennes for the season where he made 22 appearances.
According to the Evening Standard, Spurs are now set to ‘listen to offers’ for the 25-year-old as well among other players including Ryan Sessegnon, Sergio Reguilon and Giovani Lo Celso.
As the pre-season approaches, Rodon will have an opportunity to impress the new Tottenham manager, Ange Postecoglou, who is known for his work with young players and their development.
However, if Rodon is not guaranteed increased playing time next season, he may be interested in pursuing a move elsewhere.
The potential sale of the aforementioned players will provide Spurs with a much needed boost financially to reinvest in the squad as Postecoglou leads a summer rebuild.
They have already signed Dejan Kulusevski, Guglielmo Vicario, James Maddison and Manor Solomon so far and are strongly linked with the likes of Micky van de Ven and Edmond Tapsoba among others.
