Tottenham may have lost out on one Inter Milan player but there are still more two available

By Bruce Grove -

Milan Skriniar has been removed from the offer of a player swap deal between Tottenham and Inter Milan, but they can offer Spurs two of his other teammates.

Skriniar had recently been linked with a move to Spurs with the reports claiming that Inter Milan is keen on signing Tanguy Ndombele and they are willing to use the defender as a sweetener in the move.

He has been in fine form since he moved to the San Siro and Jose Mourinho has been a long-term admirer.

The Portuguese boss tried to sign him when he was the manager of Manchester United, but the deal never went through and he is still interested in working with the Slovakian.

FC Internews is, however, claiming that the defender has decided against moving to Spurs, especially because they will not be playing in the Champions League.

His opting out means that Inter will have to look for another player to send to Spurs if they are still interested in a swap deal.

The same report claims that Marcelo Brozovic and Ivan Perisic are the two other players that they are willing to offer to Spurs in exchange for the Frenchman.

Ndombele only joined Spurs in the summer, but he has struggled for form and the club will want to give him another season. It remains unclear if they will accept Inter’s swap deal proposal.

I watched it too.I don’t know if it was the occasion, but neither side had much up front. My guess is Fulham will struggle and apart from the odd good performance, will go the way of Norwich.

Maureen is no fool. He will want his players early so he can work with them pre season… Which is coming fast.

Bros has been rubbish for them recently, can’t see us buying him… Maureen wanted Perisic at Manure so he is a fan of him… We don’t need a right winger though.

Fulham 1 up thanks to Bryan screamer.
Pleased for ex Spurs Scotty Parker if Fulham are promoted as he was at the hub of Spurs midfield under Arry, siting whilst Modric was weaving and probing during the era we woz playing sexy swagger football. Only wished that SP had played for Spurs in his prime instead of at the end of his career.

I read that earlier. A good deal for a player who will provide a bit of dog in midfield.

I’m watching it and wouldn’t take any player from either team. Josh Onomah has found his level in the Championship.

Looks like KWP + £3m for Hoijberg agreed. 2 days into the transfer window.

If this goes through it’s a good deal. Both in money and timescale. I could have sworn this would take all summer.

If Fulham don’t make the PL I think we should a bid for Mitrovic.
Plays ugly and dirty but scores goals. Perfect partner for Kane.

Not watching the play off final due to work commitments, but one Fulham player I was impressed with over the 2 legs against Cardiff City is Saints loanee, Harrison- Reed.
Does a similar unsung job to Winks but frequently winning second phase balls breaking up play doing the dirty work in midfield is more effective me thinks resulting in a future at Southampton or elsewhere!. IMO he is worth a punt!
