Tottenham Hotspur are keen on signing the Paris Saint-Germain-owned defender Milan Skriniar.
The 30-year-old central defender is currently on loan at Turkish club Fenerbahce. He has done quite well for them, and he was recently praised for his impressive display against Victor Osimhen.
The player is expected to be on the move in the summer, and Tottenham are looking to sign him. They will face competition from Premier League rivals Everton, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Crystal Palace, and AFC Bournemouth.
Tottenham wanted to sign the player in January as well.
According to a report from CaughtOffside, the defender will cost around €20 million in the summer. The reported asking price seems quite cheap for a player of his experience and quality. He could prove to be a bargain at that price.
Tottenham could use more quality in the defensive unit, and the Slovakian would be the ideal acquisition for a reasonable amount of money. He has the qualities to do well in the Premier League, and he could establish himself as a player for Tottenham in the short term.
Milan Skriniar set to replace Cristian Romero?

Cristian Romero has been linked with the move away from the club, and Tottenham will have to replace him adequately.
Skriniar has proven himself in Italy and France. He was regarded as an “absolutely top-class” defender during his time at Inter Milan. Things have not gone according to plan for him in France, but he remains a quality player. He seems to have regained his form and sharpness during his loan spell in Turkey.
It will be interesting to see if Tottenham can beat the competition and secure his signature. They will need to improve multiple areas of their squad in the summer, and signing a player like Skriniar on a bargain could prove to be a masterstroke.
