Tottenham midfielder Giovani Lo Celseo is closing in on a summer exit as per the latest from Italian outlet Tuttomercatoweb.
The Argentine was brilliant against West Ham in Tottenham’s first pre-season game under new manager Ange Postecoglou and even got himself on the scoresheet.
Lo Celso has struggled to secure a regular place in the Tottenham squad in recent years and has spent a significant amount of time on loan at Villarreal recently where has impressed.
The player himself is keen on a move away in search for regular playing time. It was previously reported by journalist Matt Law that the player has his heart set on leaving this summer.
And he is no short of suitors. Last season’s Serie A winners Napoli have expressed their interest in signing him on loan as per a recent report by Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio.
His agent has already confirmed the reports admitting that they are in talks with the European heavyweights regarding a move this summer. Now, Tuttomercatoweb has shared the latest saying that the player is prepared to take a pay-cut in order to make the move happen.
The report claims that the Italian club have made Lo Celso their first priority to strengthen their midfield.
The two clubs still need to come to an agreement. It is reported that Tottenham are pushing for a permanent deal or a loan deal with an obligation to buy where as Napoli are more keen on a loan deal with an option to buy.
Apart from Napoli, Barcelona, Real Betis and Aston Villa are all interested in signing him as well.
