Break into his flat and fill his fridge with Hagen Das? Or did the player become disillusioned with his surroundings and his meagre wage?

Thanks for the offer mate that’s very kind of you, but I’m ruined at the minute. Ruptured my anterior cruciate ligament. Waiting on surgery on the nhs which was in jan next year. But now after covid I’m expecting them to delay that. After surgery it can take up to a year to recover. I’m 37 now so time may have defeated me. May have to retire if knee is weak or if I lose pace. Centre mid is my position, box to box style I’ve always ran alot. Can play on right wing or up top as well but love centre mid the best.. Missing it loads.. I dont feel or look old but I’m getting there now. It’s severe and painful rupturing ACL. Footballers worst nightmare really… After years of roy keane style tackles with no problems, i managed to do this just by turning at pace. Torn the ligament first, and then ruptured it a week later carrying my handicapped uncle. Hoping its not quite the end yet.

Stating the obvious but something is seriously wrong here, and it is definitely the player himself that has the problem/s, maybe he spent too much time with Danny Rose.

Of course it’s down to the player to get trim and fit.. He should be doing extra himself, there is no excuse for any pro to get fat (unless they have a medical condition like Rebel Wilson)… I am just an average semi pro, or top amateur standard myself, but if i had filmed a 2 year period of goals and highlights of my most recent time then i would look a superstar too… My point is even rubbish players can suprise anyone in 10 mins in their best moments… Whats important is consistency.. Doing it week in, week out, every time you step out on that pitch..
