Tottenham face an uphill battle to sign young Premier League ace

By Bruce Grove -

Tottenham have been linked with a move for Liverpool’s teenage striker, Rhian Brewster.

The English youngster has emerged as one of the hottest young strikers in the country after starring on loan at Swansea City earlier in the year.

He scored 11 goals in less than 25 matches for the Welsh side and his goals helped them reach the Championship play-off semi-finals.

He has returned to Liverpool, but he faces an uphill task if he plans to break into the first team as the Reds have one of the most formidable strike forces in the world.

He will likely be sent out on loan again this season and maybe to a Premier League side this summer.

Spurs have been looking for a new striker that will act as a backup to Harry Kane and they have made Brewster a target.

However, Mirror Sports via Team Talk claims that Liverpool’s manager, Jurgen Klopp will prefer to send the Under-17 World Cup winner on loan to Sheffield United.

This will not come as a surprise because the young striker will have a better chance of playing regularly for the Blades than Spurs if he moves to north London.

Brewster isn’t the only player that Tottenham is targeting for that role and they will turn their attention to their other targets now.

Why does it take so long to complete transfers they either want to play for Spurs or not as for Ramsey he would be as welcome as man in raincoat passed his best.
