Tottenham is extremely ‘confident’ of agreeing on deal with £200k-a-week star

By Mehdi Gokal -

Tottenham have reportedly become ‘more confident’ that Harry Kane will extend his contract with the club according to talkSPORT journalist Alex Crook.

Ever since Bayern Munich’s CEO Oliver Kahn and manager Julian Nagelsmann have publicly admitted their interest in Kane, speculations regarding his future has surfaced in the news. With just 2 years left in his contract and no news of contract extension talks, there have been concerns among the Spurs fans.

However, Kane who tried to push for a move to City last year is reportedly happy at the club under Antonio Conte. Spurs are in a much better place compared to last season so it’s understandable why Kane is looking forward to the next season.

According to Alasdair Gold, Harry Kane is ‘open’ to talks, and Spurs are expected to hand him a new contract. Alex Crook believes that having Antonio Conte as the manager and playing in the Champions League next season are two factors that has left Spurs confident that the striker will sign a new contract with the club putting an end to all specualtions.

Crook told GIVEMESPORT:

“I think they are more confident because of Antonio Conte and the fact they’re back in the Champions League.”

As exciting as this is, it is still possible that if Tottenham fail to win silverware in the coming season, Harry Kane will be motivated to leave the club. With the striking quality he possesses, and the numbers he has racked up, he would want to end his career with trophies under him and if the likes of Bayern Munich come for him, he could end up leaving.

Nah.. I should imagine there’s a few stand offs, a few waiting for other deals to happen.. We are bound to be in for players and trying to sell too.. But no real news right now.

I reckon there will be one or two more signings to come.. And 4 or 5 to go.

Indeed.. They already had the crunch talks meeting, months ago, soon after we qualified for the CL. Before the transfer window opened, Conte said the club HAS to spend and meet his ambitions. I’m sure the finances are stable now after all the lockdowns, stadiums back open and events are back on. Now we are in the CL too. There should be big money and income rolling in this year.
We can win a cup this season and push for the title the next.
Conte building around Kane and Son we have reason to hope. This has been the best window since Mitch bought in Son and Trips in. Or possibly even since the Schnapps days when he was raiding Portsmouth and saving us from relegation.
I’m not thinking about Conte leaving. He’s repeatedly telling everyone he’s happy. And he’s not mysterious and doesn’t talk in riddles and nonsense like Botcho did. He’s honest, so I believe him. I’ve been enjoying every second of his reign so far. According to your predictions so far Conte would already be gone.
If Nuno was still our manager and Kane was off then I would understand the old ‘Doom and gloom’ club.

Gold is a club plant, he’s not a genuine outsider looking in. On the ENIC payroll pretending to be though…

Funny thing is, Conte is better at domestic leagues than he is in Europe. His European record is fairly patchy, I reckon we’ve got more of a chance of finishing a solid third than anything in Europe. Can’t see us overtaking Liverpool and Citeh over a whole season but we might reduce the 20 odd point gap! 😂

Keeping Conte and getting Kane to re sign ..that’s the push ..the squad is better as ever though it’s only good as it’s weakest parts ..we know who they are …Wonder if Gil will go on loan or stay at Spurs.

The man wants to win things, unless Levy helps him do that he will leave. 100%.

More speculative nonsense, unless Harry has a release clause inserted )along with a wage hike) there’s no way he commits himself to a longer contract at Spurs. Unless Levy delivers he’s off, along with Conte…

Stay Harry. And be forever loved and adored by millions of Lilywhites. Now is the time to thrive under Conte. Haaland means City won’t be interested. Bayern and PSG are great teams but two bob leagues.

The important matter to sort out right now is Ndombenchy.. He thinks he can be happy at the Superbowl but after 3 years with us and a flop loan back to France the poor lad is in Cuckoo Land.
It’s a simple situation to sort out in my eyes. He needs sitting down and told straight he’s not wanted anymore and it’s time to find a new club.. If he is not willing to take a cut in wages and he is unable to find a new club then he will be forced to train and play with the youth and reserves. If he cares about his career and reputation at all then he’d soon find a new club..
The memories of him jogging around while we were losing to sub par teams from our country, plus farmer leagues, will forever stick.
Sir Alex never fcuked about with players like this. Conte is the same mould.. We need to get Ndom out.. Also sell Lo Celso, Winky, Reggy…. Buy one or two more whether it’s a centre back, right wing back or a quality centre mid, and we have had a marvellous window.

Harry will be seeing how Conte does in Europe and elsewhere this season. He will be keeping his options open as will Conte. Gold is no different to Bayern in pushing an agenda . He is Spurs media tart.

Although our business had been good at at the start and our squad is in better shape…we really need to shift out these players to get more quality in…60m odd net spend isn’t setting the world on fire, still not convinced ENIC have changed that much…

Just because Kane “is open to talks” means nothing,he’s being polite. The fact is he has still won nothing in terms of silverware and hopefully he is aware now of how untrustworthy Levy is,so should not rush to sign anything.

The most important thing to do is ditch his brother as his agent and hire somebody who can fight his corner. He’ll need him dealing with Levy. However nothing is certain particularly if Conte walks for any reason.
