Tottenham have reportedly been dealt a blow in the rumoured pursuit of Juventus midfielder Weston McKennie as CaughtOffside report that the Serie A giants are happy with his development and have no plans to let him go.
Spurs have previously been linked with the USA international by Calciomercato and others, and he certainly seems like a player who could be a good fit under Antonio Conte.
McKennie has shown plenty of promise during his time in Italy, and Conte and Fabio Paratici should have a decent knowledge of the player due to their connections with both Juve and Serie A in general.
Still, it doesn’t look like McKennie is likely to be a realistic target for Tottenham any time particularly soon, based on CaughtOffside’s latest update on his future.
The 23-year-old initially shone on loan at Juventus but has been less of a guaranteed starter since joining the club permanently, so if that continues for much longer then perhaps this could be one for Spurs to revisit in the summer.
