Tottenham continue to be linked with forgotten Serie A man

By Bruce Grove -

Sun Sports claims that Everton and Tottenham are still interested in securing the signature of Arkaduisz Milik.

The Polish striker was one of the players that Spurs looked to sign in the last transfer window as they sought to find a back up for Harry Kane.

He is in the final year of his current deal with Napoli and Spurs might have signed him on a cut-price deal.

However, the Italians wanted 30m euros for his signature and Spurs have now landed Carlos Vinicius on loan from Benfica.

With Vinicius impressing on his first start with Spurs, the Lilywhites might want to make his loan deal permanent in the summer, but the prospect of landing Milik for a cheaper fee might be too tempting.

They face a battle from Everton which is managed by Milik’s former manager, Carlo Ancelotti and the Italian reportedly wants a reunion with the striker.

Milik has been left out of Napoli’s team for the Serie A this season and his lack of football until January might force him to seek a move away in the next transfer window by whatever means.

Spurs have relied on Kane for a long time now, but the England striker deserves more support and signing Milik may not be such a bad idea.
