Tottenham confident of closing deal for Premier League ace after opening talks to sign him

By Bruce Grove -

Todofichajes says Tottenham has opened talks with Southampton over signing Danny Ings and they are confident about signing him before this transfer window closes.

The striker has 12 months left on his current Southampton deal and he has told them he won’t sign a new one.

He is one of the best strikers in the Premier League and Tottenham wants to add him to their squad.

The plan is to field him and Harry Kane together in a two-man attack under Nuno Espirito Santo.

The former Liverpool man wants to test himself at a top club again and Spurs can give him the platform to achieve that.

The report says Southampton is looking to cash in on him for around 25m euros, however, Spurs wants to revise down that valuation and they might offer roughly 20m euros to sign him.

They could land him on a free transfer at the end of next season, but other clubs would also want to sign him then and Spurs might lose out to a competitor.

Ings has scored 46 goals in 100 games for The Saints since he joined them, initially on loan in 2018.

The express saying we could offer 1 of players plus cash for Igns.
The players are winks, skipp, rondon and sess.
Only 1 of those four are viable to go and thats winks.

20mill transfer fee over a 4 year contract is less than what we did for Sissy. Plus he can score so no pressure on the sports science guys at the worlds best hotspur way to maximise his playing availability.
Just a shame no deals are seemingly in the pipeline and rumours just agent driven with no substance.

He was linked with us before but turned us down, and that was when we were doing well and in Europe proper. Why should he join us now?

Just can’t see it happening tbh. He’s turned us down in the past when we were in Europe proper and doing okay, why should he want to join us now?
