Tottenham are lining up more deals after sealing Hojbjerg transfer

By Bruce Grove -

With the transfer of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg practically done and awaiting confirmation, Sky Sports claims that Spurs have now turned their attention to bolstering other parts of their team.

The Lilywhites made a very poor start to last season, and it took some fine work from Jose Mourinho, who joined them in the first half of the season, for them to end the campaign in a European place.

The special one will now look to bolster his team so that he can build on the achievements of last season and try to win a trophy for the Lilywhites.

Sky Sport claims that after landing Hojbjerg, Tottenham is plotting to sign three more players.

It claims that they are targeting a right-back, Centre back, and striker.

Serge Aurier is the only recognisable right-back at the club right now and the Ivorian is not consistent enough to be trusted.

Spurs have lost Jan Vertonghen and Juan Foyth might be sold off as well, which makes signing a centre back important to them.

Harry Kane is the top striker at the club and he will remain so, however, they will want to sign a new striker this summer that will replace his goals when he is unavailable to play.

Where as I see Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg as a cost effective and smart signing to anchor the midfield and let the creative players alongside him dictate the tempo of attack…I would LOVE to see Deeney coming in to the squad. He’d get more game time than people think and he’d be magic to come on and help batter teams that will sit back, or even scare those more attack minded. Let’s at least cover the positions that the squad need sensibly before Levy starts he’s swap shop fuckery of selling to buy at the last minute.

Was watching one of those Spurs blogs this morning and they said the English qualified quota is a big problem for us. Hence Foyth/Lamela/Sissoko/Aurier being touted.

Castange can play anywhere across the back line (left & right. He’d be really really useful. Much much better than Aron’s.

Castagne or Aarons hopefully. And maybe Milik on the cheap swap with lamela? Thatd give us good options up front

Dont need skriniar. Then we’d have too many starting centrebacks like Berg says. Id rather we have money for ndombele.

Do we need another CB?
Even if Foyth is sold we would still have Alderweireld, Dier, Sanchez and Tanganga

Hmmm but has (Leonardo) Hjolberg signed yet?

Has to be Aarons to satisfy the home grown quota

But it’d be nice if it was that swap deal fellah from Milan
