Tottenham among the clubs linked with exciting Championship star

By Bruce Grove -

It is being reported in the Independent that Tottenham is among the clubs that are keen on young Max Aarons.

The Norwich City defender is highly thought of and Spurs were reportedly looking to bring him to north London under Jose Mourinho and that has apparently not changed despite the Portuguese losing his job last week.

There is stiff competition for the 21-year-old with the likes of West Ham, Everton and even Barcelona among the sides that want to land the England U21 star.

However, the report states that he wants to remain in the south of England and that effectively means that the Hammers and Spurs are the front runners.

It is highly likely that Aarons will depart Carrow Road once the transfer window opens, this is because the Canaries have seemingly promised him that if he stayed with them through this season that he could leave in the summer.

He will not come cheap with the same report claiming that he will set any suitor back a cool £30 million, an amount that is not easily paid in this current pandemic.

Aarons is a versatile player, he primarily plays as a right-back but can also fit in well on the left, an attribute that is rare these days.

He looks a good player. Better going forward then defending but that is the modern full back. Hopefully he is a priority signing.
With Aarons and Reguilon at full back the two holding central midfielders will need to control the game much better. PEH is good and has a rhythm to his play but whilst Ndombele is talented im not sure he knows what he is going to do, let alone his teammates
