“This is why Tottenham is the biggest club in London” These Spurs fans ecstatic over Bale return to form

By Bruce Grove -

When Tottenham signed Gareth Bale on loan from Real Madrid in the summer, the Lilywhites knew that they had scored a major win and had hopes that he would propel them to the next level.

Bale has left an undeniable mark during his first stint at the club and he has had a trophy-laden time at Real Madrid.

Spurs’ fans expected him to get back to his old form as soon as he landed in London.

That didn’t happen and they have had to wait for more than six months to finally start seeing the best of the Welshman.

His poor form has seen him struggle to figure regularly for the club, but his last few games have been such a beauty.

After scoring twice and providing an assist in Tottenham’s game against Burnley, B/R Football took to Twitter to reveal that the Welshman has now scored 4 goals and provided 3 assists in his last four matches for the club.

This is the form of a player that is hitting his best at just about the right time and Spurs fans cannot get enough of that.

After they tweeted on the stat, here is what some of the club’s fans think.

And here comes the ridiculous fawning ott hyperbole….
It was Wolfsberger and Burnley. Bale shouldn’t have come back, this doesn’t change that. Bad move, he’s been unfit and a shadow of his younger days. Shocker.

Right, that’s Bale up and running, now lets see what we can do with Cliff Jones !

p.s. love the podcasts from the 3 of you, wouldn’t use them for motivational purposes but wise and thoughtful unlike the plethora of vacuous media nonsense that plagues the game.

He may not go on to be amazing for the rest of the season but at least now he’s a proper ‘option’ for the rest of the season – whether he starts or comes on as a sub
