Tanguy Ndombele didn’t come across well in the All or Nothing documentary, not well at all. You don’t need to take my word for it, the video is now online, and one would never grasp from that clip that the Frenchman even knew why he was there at all!
However, in the 47th minute of yesterday’s game against Southampton, we witnessed a completely brilliant piece of football that turned the game for us.
More, please.
agreed, after this chaotic run of games is over at least
Agreed when we played 4 defense 3 midfield it gave us no shape or flavour much prefer 4-1-2 or 4-2-1
I fully disagree I think the formation wouldn’t use his best qualities although that doesn’t forgive fitness and we will only see better from now on
Let’s have it right…. He won a challenge, laid off a great ball. Then was blowing out of his backside trying to keep up with play.
He’s got a very long way to go before he becomes un-droppable
I actually drew the opposite conclusion. Tanguy had a magic moment, and several other good passes, but ultimately he looked knacked every time he decided to run more than 30 yards, and was most definitely not interested in the pressing game – Jose simply will not carry players who do not offer both, and so for me I felt this was his opportunity to prove he could do it, and he failed.
I cannot see a future where he becomes the main man for us, sell him.
A few more Cheeseburgers and pizzas and he can become just as droppable very quickly. Everyone’s on a lovin with N’dombele and outa love with Dele some people change like the wind.💨😄
Yes
Just want to add my Tuppence worth, but I feel Dele doesn’t feel he needs to put in the extra effort and work harder. When Maurinho first got there he told him he was Lazy, tried encouraging him, but he honestly looks to me like hasn’t taken any notice.. Do we want to wait around for how long to see if Dele decides to work on his game, or play someone who has already decided that..
Watching that pirouette, for want of a better term, it almost reminded me of Dembele for a moment. But the best bit is the precision pass that encouraged Kane to run on to it rather than wait for it, thereby keeping the momentum of the attack going. Nice to watch.
Sorry, a little late to the ‘Dump On Dele’ Day. In terms of his career, Dele has ‘nutted’ too early and is now in dire need of vocational viagara to harden up and become useful again. Jose can help him there but is he mature enough to take his medicine?
He did this stuff for fun at his previous club. I think when he settles in he will become a legendary midfielder. His sharply angled, incisive passes are the stuff that changes games. You will not see him doing all the soppy sideways stuff. He knows which direction the goal is in.
Just hope he gets his shit together so he can last the full 90.
MF = midfielder?
Yes,no more Sissoko or Winks in there. One holding MF is enough.
Brilliant piece of play, and he was fouled, so glad the ref didn’t blow. The shame of it is that he was pulled at Half Time, and also Kane and Sonny had blinders, so that went under the radar a bit. I think given time and games he will develop into something special for us. I would like to him and Gio both playing in front of Hoigberg.
