You lose some – you lose some. Everybody is entitled to an opinion, but just in one day we have seen a fan telephone a national radio show, and admit that he despises José so much that he wants us to lose the Carabao Cup final, just to effect the change he wants – which is the sacking of José.
Now, the manager’s determination to win silverware has been met with some severe reactions by those that are primarily concerned about Harry Kane being risked unnecessarily – in their view.
I can see their point to a certain degree, but for context, all of this isn’t a situation of Mourinho’s making. Vinicius clearly isn’t up to par for the gaffer and according to reports earlier today, that loan deal is set to fizzle out at the end of this season anyway.
On balance, there is always a risk with any player, and one might wonder if these fans understand the purpose of playing games – which is to win trophies – and not just run around for an hour and a half every now and again, hoping not to get injured.
No fanks. Though I can handle the suits well. As a service user representative in Haringey I deal with enough of them. When me tark dem have to listen🌚
There’s a job for you in government waiting.
Transfer restrictions? What did you expect us to buy all these players you speak of with? And pay them with what? You want us still broke at the old lane. What was it you called our new home again ” a ugly sh!t hole”
“Neglect? We had no money plus we were building a new stadium to make us have money. What’s so hard in that to understand? You wanted fish well now we’ve got a fishing rod to catch those fish.
Me too. Next season money start roll again.
I think we’ll get top four too. And win the double 🌚 I think the only big team we’ve got left to play is United. We’ve stuffed them already this season
Indeed.. I thought covid would be long gone by now.
We’ll see come end of the season won’t we. I predict it will go to the wire and we will get fourth.. Top four and one or two cups is certainly attainable.
Uncertain times cush.. when things get back to normal and the money starts rolling in again we narf gonna spend. All those that think levy gonna operate the same as when we were broke at the old lane gonna be surprised.
One good summer transfer window just gone. Levy did well there.. The January window just gone was poor though. Literally no activity, while other clubs bought and sold players. We need to get our business done quicker next couple of windows.. Deadwood out and new targets in the earlier in the window the better.
No one’s telling me why they think levy ain’t doing a good job so far at the new place. It’s kool though.
Totally
Those who think levy ain’t doing a good job so far at the new place please explain why not. I bet you can’t. You’re just hating for hatings sake. It’s up to you though. Me is a man who give people a chance mainly because I’ve been given many. Levy. Do your ting mate. I’ve got your back.
This is what we used to do too often – try a disjointed mishmash team and get a disjointed mishmash performance. The big guns then had to play anyway and often, it led to nothing, as they were unable to turn the tide of the game.
Much prefer to start strong and then ease off later.
Even with the best players on the pitch does not guarantee a win but I do agree we should just get it done with Harry and don’t think about Villa. As above re Antwerp, didn’t work out with so-called big guns on the bench.
Christ, how about we trust Jose for once? Klopp played Salah and Mane against Villa’s kids and Poch brought Kane on while 6-0 up against Tranmere. You want your best players out there.
We don’t want another Antwerp away performance, so we’ll start strongly and then, if possible, sub off the important guys.
Ideally, Kane gets 45 minutes, we go a goal up in the first half and Vini can come on then. No complacency; get the job done!
Without Grealish, they’re nothing special, but he might be back in time for us…hopefully just on the bench.
Silly
Dream on buddy
No money has ever gone towards the team from ENIC. And no the new lane ain’t a fortress yet.
No we’re not,but things are still the same.Old Joe came out the other day to reiterate that none of his [ENIC] money is going towards the team.Same old same old.The new lane is not the old lane, you’re right, but we finished there unbeaten.the new lane is not a fortress.
Forget about top four? Win our next game and we are 3 points off top 4.. Not 13 points, not 23 points… 1 game, 1 win…. I don’t understand this defeatist attitude amongst some fans.. It’s a good job you’re not playing for us mate.. Fcuk me,, Talk about a losing mentality….
Won’t you see the fact we ain’t at the old lane anymore.
Levy is doing a good job at the new lane.
We have Villa 3 days after.. I hope we don’t need to play Kane at all. Others could do with resting too.. The Villians are far superier.
I’m amazed how many idiots exist.
This season is hanging by a thread and it’s Harry Kane’s fitness. He’s been rushed back and it’s showing. Let’s hope it works out well.
And who pray does this ‘Supporter’ think we should replace Jose with?? Eddie Howe maybe, he’s available, Brendan Rogers, oh let me see, he is doing rather OK at Leicester.. I cannot believe anyone would want us to lose a game just to make a point. Sorry, but that person is not a supporter, that’s more like what the ‘Wenger Out’ brigade were like…
But,but,but…… Levy’s a master negotiator.
These people have had 20 years to see the neglect. If after all that time they don’t see it,they never will. There’s none so blind as those who won’t see.
Get an away goal or two by half time without conceding and Kane will be rested then. Jose is right to go all in on EL – a trophy of merit and a spot in the CL. Win/Win.
This all stems from one place, like what’s been said again and again….the chairman and the owners transfer restrictions.
Still they can’t work it out and shout at the manager.
THEREs NO DEPTH IN QUALITY 😰
If the ref had given Ndombele a stonewall peno in the first match we would be able to rest Kane taking a 3 nil lead into this match. Such is the dearth of striking options in the squad Kane has to play. The EL takes priority over the league as Spurs can forget about top 4 now
