He noted Tottenham attempted to show support by adding John Heitinga to the backroom staff recently, but losses (including a 2-1 defeat to West Ham) have escalated things, putting Frank’s position at “serious risk.”
Frank has publicly pushed back, saying things like “When your back is against the wall, you fight” and claiming he still feels trust from the board (e.g., after a lunch with key figures like Nick, Johan, and Vinai), dismissing much of it as a “media circus.”
Overall, Romano’s reporting suggests Tottenham’s hierarchy is monitoring closely, with no quick fix possible, but results need to improve rapidly, or a change could happen soon amid fan unrest and internal discussions.
This is looking very grim for Frank at this stage, with nobody having a kind word for him. As far as a replacement is concerned, there’s nothing to inspire anyone.
