Dele Alli has struggled for a playing time under Jose Mourinho at Tottenham this season, but he showed his quality with an acrobatic goal against Wolfsberger in the Europa League on Wednesday.
The goal was a timely reminder that he is a player that we can still call on to produce some magic.
He should have earned himself a place back in the Tottenham team after that goal, but that is not how things work.
Fans have inundated Jose Mourinho with calls to restore the attacker to his team, especially as they struggle in the league. Maybe that will happen now.
The manager was speaking about the PSG target recently and said his fitness is improving and he is happy with him.
This is according to Standard Sport’s Dan Kilpatrick who tweeted: “#thfc Mourinho says Dele Alli’s fitness is improving and he’s “very happy” with him.”
This should be good news to those calling for Alli’s return to the team and reactions on the post showed that he can contribute if Mourinho uses him. Here are some reactions:
Bs his fitness improved because you played him – translation I was wrong again

Dier, Winks and Sissoko. It sends shivers, but not in a good way I’m afraid.
If I see Dier on that team sheet I will despair. I honestly have played alongside more talented players than this guy on a Sunday morning. How he steals a living as a professional never ceases to amaze me. It must be that he whispers sweet nothings into Jose’s ear in Portuguese during training
