Jose Mourinho is no stranger to falling out with the board of the teams he has managed. The Portuguese manager is one that knows exactly what he wants and when he doesn’t get it, it never ends well.
In almost every club that he has been fired, it has been because of falling out with the club’s leadership and it seems that some trouble might be brewing at Spurs as well.
One player who has impressed Mourinho yet has an uncertain future at Tottenham is Eric Dier.
The Englishman struggled at the start of this season, but he has always been liked by Mourinho, even when the Portuguese manager was the boss at Manchester United.
He has been favoured to play the two games that Spurs have played since the restart, as Mourinho shows that he is important to his plans.

However, the defender has a contract at Spurs until only 2021 and he is yet to be offered a new one according to The Athletic via Thisisfutbol.
Mourinho has stated that Daniel Levy has assured him that he wants the former Sporting Lisbon man to sign an extension as confirmed by Alasdair Gold on his Twitter account.
However, Levy is very unpredictable when it comes to negotiating deals. If tries to dispose of the player or offer him a new deal that he refuses to sign, it might become the first issue that sees them fall out, big time.
Mourinho clearly wants Dier to remain, the loss of the player combined with limited funds in the transfer window could see a fracture develop between Mourinho and Levy that would be beyond repair.

I will admit he is looking better in the CB spot,he will have his work cut out against McBurnie tonight. The fact Toby is not starting leads me to think Mourinho is planning for his departure. He won’t be happy if this continues next season, even on his new salary.
Dier looks good at CB. He’ll defo be signing soon.
This will happen otherwise he will leave cheap/free which Levy wont want.
