Jose Mourinho will not like the update coming from the Spanish national team in this international break.
Tottenham has 12 players out on international duty and the Lilywhites will have been praying that their players come back with no issues after the international break.
However, they will now have to deal with at least one injury problem after Sergio Reguilon couldn’t continue Spain’s game against Portugal last night due to injury.
The left-back was substituted at half time in that game and his national team manager has given an update that should worry Tottenham.
Luis Enrique said of the injury as quoted by the Express: “It is a blow that the doctors have to see,
“I hope it doesn’t get complicated.”
Reguilon has made a fine start to his life at the club, playing and impressing in wins over Chelsea and Manchester United.
His performance was set to keep Ben Davies out of the club’s first team for much of this season, but now that he is out injured, Davies will have another run in the first team.
Spurs will be challenging for four trophies this season and they will need all the players to be injury-free and fit for as long as possible.

I hope that wasn’t a friendly between Spain and Portugal. Well Spain will be paying his wages now hopefully not for very long.

Choosing selectively when you do it and when you don’t that
Mr Levy is the negative downside of basement bargain offers, expecting to get their prized asset on the cheap by making a derisory opening bid throwing Josh Onomah into the deal who hardly set the word alight on loan at Villa was realistically never going to happen!
Levy messed Villa about too much and the moment was gone. Our loss and Villa’s gain I might add.
Until now perhaps with Lo Celso we have been bereft of a creative midfielder since Modric departure.
I dont think he would have turned into the player he is if he’d have left Villa.
Great to see his display for England and it shows how bereft we’ve been since Gazza.
Fingers crossed our new left back isnt seriously injured
But as you are saying we got Bale and co now and moved on from there! Just grates thats all!
Especially as we were crying out for a player of his vision and guile!
English players of his obvious quality don’t come around very often for the relatively modest figure we could have secured him at a couple of years ago, so having identified him we should have got him at the time. No excuses. Fact me lud!!
Now we’ve got Bale, Gio and the final emergence of Tanguy I’m not sure Grealish is as big a miss. Would have been a good signing though…
Winksy does what Winksy always does well to perfection strolling through a match making neat and tidy passes minus surging runs and defence splitting passes in his locker!!
Second thoughts perhaps I’d ought to select the team!!
Also I’d keep Nick Pope in goal!
Exciting match ahead on Sunday – England v Belgium.
I dare you, be bold Southgate and play Jack Grealish, Ings and Calvert-Lewin for this one!!
Levy missed a pivotal moment in this maestros career not getting Jack Grealish when the opportunity arose. Thats history now, Confident, forward thinking, assured, comfortable with the ball making things happen JG should wear the No 10 shirt playing in the same rightful position for England as he does for Villa when this lad has a great future ahead for both club and country!
Hes got 10 days to recover. It will be ok
Of course he’s injured, he’s a Spurs player now. Comes with the territory. Tonight I expect fractures and snapped ligaments a plenty from Doherty, Kane, Dier and Rodon. If the latter gets injured you know he will sign!
No problem for Ben Davies, but he cannot play every Spurs game and in the internationals in the coming weeks, that is why we signed another LB, not good news for the club, and Reguilon is only the first casualty of a farcical fixture list.
Are you fricking kidding me why oh why are footballers so god damn fragile nowadays
