Tanguy Ndombele still wants out of Spurs – seemingly at all costs

By The Boy -

The Tanguy Ndombele crisis – as it will be remembered – won’t quite end up in history’s annuls alongside that of the Cuban Missile crisis, but in purely footballing terms, this fiasco could yet eclipse even Tottenham Hotspur’s record for bad transfer decisions.

Sources close to the club tell me that Tanguy and his rather industrious representatives have decided to not skip a beat during this thankfully brief lull between the last the next season. What puzzles the source, and surely bewilders the rest of us mere mortals, is what caused all this nonsense.

José Mourinho’s public exasperations are not enough to hang the Portuguese, no matter how blind one’s contempt. This is a Premier League side’s record signing, given wage parity with England captain Harry Kane, and yet we’ve a player that is perpetually unavailable?

The bottom line here is that the player’s representatives and their ongoing campaign of discord is extremely unlikely to end well for Tottenham.

The sooner this miserable business is resolved, the better. What tale of woe will be pitched to his next club? The whole thing is most strange…

They might be clauses to allow Jose to leave without a huge payout. I think the whole relationship between Levy and Jose is ‘lets See how it goes’. The first objective of Champions League didn’t work out, not sure what the next one is. Rebuild the side? To do what?

If you can think of anyone else then feel free, although your predicable retort of ‘Poch’ doesn’t stack up as he had very little control over transfers. Lots of French players that didn’t work out? Levy.

Tintin was paid what he was worth the big fairy bottled it every time we needed him. It’s not suprising he can’t get a game for inter now he’s a flake…. Anelka la sulk was quality I hate to add.

I think our appearance in the CL final duped him. He thought he was joining a big club going places. He’s had a confused look on his face since joining us. He’s that confused hes resorted to comfort eating.

Before Lyon multiple clubs rejected him, because he was too fat!…. A simple google search confirms this… This was obviously missed by spurs top scouting team.

Ignorance is bliss, but not in your case I suspect.
You should do a little bit more research before engaging your typing finger.
Read the article below from David Hytner of the Guardian and you might be better informed.

No quotes to back up the headline. What’s his problem with earning £200, 000 a week and spending most of his time sitting down.

Sounds exactly like Grealish was a few years ago but a few years later he’s a star in the making.

Here’s some more hindsight for you. It was well known in the French League that he was a trouble maker ay Lyon with a bad attitude.

Might not be so easy to get him out the door, unless he gets a better offer than his £200, 000 a week, we could have our own Bale or Ozil. Surely clubs must have something in contracts relating to players adhering to the clubs fitness regime and acting in a professional manner on the field.

Then again we haven’t helped ourselves by not playing him. I wonder what the rest of the team think of him?

This guy has had problems applying himself at at least one previous club. Was the best player they had but refused to put in a shift in training and had a very bad attitude. I suspect we are seeing a repeat of that. Maybe he thinks he’s too good for us or maybe his reps feel its time to cash in much like one Nicolas Anelka’s brothers did with him. Either way I think we will know soon enough. Jose will not put up with lazy or difficult players. If he is refusing to give the required 100% Jose will want him out the door.

Forget about Fernandes, the minute Utd cane sniffing the price went up and that was that.

If its true that Tanguy wants out then he can do one. But Id like to see him settling in next season.

Joe Hart is a weird one. We need a replacement for Hugo not Gazzingagagaa

Hindsight is a wonderful thing, many people said that his stats only looked good in a weak Portugese league. We had witnessed N,Dombele out play City in the CL and were convinced we had a coup.

Then they dodged a bullet.
Whether he is a Poch’s choice is irrelevent,he should be professional and get on with his job. He’s earning enough for it.
If he keeps this attitude up Jose won’t play him and Levy won’t be able to shift him on.That is a dud for usTappa.

Man City and Man Utd were both interested.Levy got the fee reduced from £70m euro’s to £53.8m with £10m to be added if we qualified for the CL.Lyon ceo Aulas? Said if Levy messed about the fee would go up to £80m euro’s. I can’t see Levy wanting to pay as much but he was Pochs ideal signing.

It’s the wages part that I struggle with as it seems to go against everything that has been put in place structure wise. Quite what Kane makes of Ndombelly not pudding in a shift for the same wage will be interesting.

I thought we had a goodun based on 15minutes of desktop research. Turns out that the level of professional scouting that was completed before we spunked 50m.

Fernandes is only 25, but Levy di**ed Sporting around to get the price down and they wouldn’t play ball with the despicable little runt. Just to rub salt into an open wound, he took another Fernandes, Gedson, on loan with an option to buy which was just a cheap pun which is typical of Levy. He cannot afford to sack Maureen anyway, so we are stuck with him for the time being. God only know how much Levy’s dozen or so managerial sacking have cost the club, not to mention all the scouts, DoFs etc that he got rid of. Never mind, Eddie Howe won’t cost him any compensation.

It’s the hanger’s on who are usually the problem with players who are not focused, if this situation is not redeemable , then sell quickly and get a Grealish or Saint Maximin type .

Not enough groundwork was done on the transfer. He was obviously one of the targets identified by the scouts and Pochettino, however was he first choice?

Fernandez at Utd is a fully functioning international midfield player, like him or not he’s effective. Would a deal for him have cost do much more, if as much?

The problem here is that Daniel in his infinite wisdom thought that a player three or four years younger would have more resale potential. Secondly, Levy obviously has some kind of middle man in France. Why else would so many Ligue1 players come through the door on Levy’s watch?

Apart from Hugo (also from Lyon) none of these players have ever improved us or even made it into our starting eleven on any regular basis. Yet Daniel continues to plough this dry furrow that is the French transfer market to no good effect.

He might be a record signing, but like Clinton Cards and NoCluedo he’s just another French player who doesn’t fit into the team but obviously, in some way fits into Levy’s deal making logic.
What we know is, that none of that is ever to do with football.

You created this mess Daniel, stop blaming everyone else and sort it out. Usually he’d sack the manager over this but he’s a bit stuck at the moment in that regard.

He probably won’t, but if he falls out with Jose over this it wouldn’t surprise me if he sacked him citing failure to reach the Champions League. He’s keeping that one in reserve, this is what he does…

Marbella Spur

He is probably similar to Anelka whose brothers were his agents, and as soon as he had joined a new club, agitated for a move. It is hard to believe that N’Dombele would get the same wages at a different club, but frequently when a player is unhappy, it is a financial issue. If Levy had paid Eriksen what he was worth, he might have stayed but he saw less talented players at the club earning more than him. If one could sell him for what we paid, it would solve our problem but that is most unlikely. It should be noted that no major European club seemed interested in signing him before we did. They must have done their research better. We are between a rock and a hard place with him.

Leslie Crawford

I said yesterday that we were taking a massive gamble on N’dombele coming good next season,we only need players who are fully committed to Jose & Spurs and not causing unrest behind the scenes. If his agent wants to find a club willing to pay an exceptable amount get him out asap and let us find a replacement before next season kicks off. I would think the other players already have had enough of his antic’s while taking home a kings ransom.

I would say if Jose is willing to say that in public, what will he say behind closed doors. Is Jose right or wrong…that is personal opinion and I think the truth is in the middle. However, this player clearly came to play for Poch, and something went wrong with im and Jose. Nothing wrong with wanting out, question is, is he worth what we paid for him? There were lots of linked clubs, but lets face it, Levy got him so I doubt Barca even picked up the phone.
