“I imagine this is the 10th injury” An Exasperated Jose On Tanguy’s Physical State [video]

Tanguy Ndombele continues the grand tradition of Spurs’ signing players with a backstory, opposed to someone who can assimilate without any great fuss.

Or is the Premier League itself the issue? Is this division so ravenous for sinew and bone that only a certain strain of footballer can stay the course?

Physioroom this morning have the Ivorian listed as suffering a “hip injury”, and Harry Kane’s issue being a hamstring. Both players are being assessed.

As someone said on MOTD last night in reference to Paul Pogba, we now have the ludicrous situation where players have their own doctors and physios. Think football is going the way of the NBA which is described as “a stars League”. The players have. almost total domination of the game and dictate to owners, teams, coaches, the media, fans.

Going to take time for Tanguy and the rest, but time is always short in the Premier League as every sacked manager can verify. I don’t think there is another manager who would have persevered with Sissoko( didn’t have much choice really,) can’t see Mourinho having as much patience with underperforming players.

Its a rather odd situation with Ndombele , both physically and mentally he is struggling to cope with the EPL and being at Spurs. There is a decent player in there but he is so erratic and lacks composure when on the ball, a rough diamond that will need a lot of work to make the finished article .

There’s another interview on Hayters TV, and José says this about Tanguy,” He’s always injured, he’s injured, he’s not injured. He plays one match the next week he is injured, he plays another match. We are full of hopes, and this is since the beginning of the season. Of course it is a concern. You think you have a player, you think the player is in an evolution process. He plays very well against Norwich, you are full of hopes that today he is ready for it, and he is not ready for it. So I can not say much more than that, because it is a situation that comes from the beginning of the season”. This is the interview I referred to in an earlier post.

Could be that he said he was still injured and not ready but Jose played him anyway? To be honest, if we finish January with no signings, or no new defensive players it won’t matter who is fit as we won’t get top 4 or relegated.
