Talks today: Spurs could be ready to sack Nuno

By Mark Brus -

Tottenham are reportedly ready to consider sacking Nuno Espirito Santo just four months after hiring him as manager.

According to the Telegraph, the club are holding talks over Nuno’s future today as they weigh up making a possible change in the dugout after the team’s poor recent form.

Spurs were beaten 3-0 at home by Manchester United yesterday – the same Manchester United that were battered 5-0 by Liverpool just a week earlier.

It’s clear something needs to change as the performances are just as worrying as the results, with little sign of Nuno building anything positive for the north Londoners.

Harry Kane’s form has been awful, with Nuno failing to build enough of an attack-minded side to get the best out of a potentially world class striker.

Nuno did, admittedly, inherit a tricky situation given the Kane saga over the summer, but it’s still unsurprising that his future now seems to be in doubt after such a poor start to the season.

Totally agree, I’ve been on about this for ages too. Does Levy not have any concept of the brand and it’s cache globally?

The majority of fans in emerging markets such as South East Asia and the U.S will never visit the new stadium and therefore it is a complete irrelevance for them. Why does he think building that f*cking thing is enough to elevate the club? The man is a short sighted, pig headed bore with zero comprehension of what makes a top club truly tick.

Penny pinching no longer cuts it Daniel, you’re out of your depth…

Terrible appointment, looked like it from the start, Had he not won those opening three fixtures he’d be gone already…

Over to you Daniel, yet again. YAWN…

Of course, Conte would want investment in decent players and Levy does CHEAP!

That fixture with Manchester United was beamed around the planet. Think of the marketing damage done to the brand with a state of the art stadium whose crowd showed their dismay and frustration and disbelief of the manager’s ineptitude. Incredible.

Do you think he cares? he put the club in debt £1 billion and promoted himself to the title of the highest paid Chairman in the Premier League and he values the club £3.5 billion the guy is deluded and egomaniac he lives in his own fantasy planet and he sees always sacking a manager is cheaper than investing a player or players that is No1 script in his book and you wonder he sacked 15 managers under his tenure and he sees that a success.

Nuno goes and Mason becomes caretaker again-I said it yesterday and still believe its possible at this circus. Consequences? Hmm. Maybe Winks finds his way back into contention plus Deli of course and then Davies and Dier will probably be safe for a bit longer as they are all mates. All of these players should be gone and if Levy had appointed a half decent manager after 70+ days of agonising last summer then they would surely be gone before now. Can anyone seriously imagine Conte tolerating the performances of the above mentioned crew? Of course not but then Conte is a bit like Jose in that he doesn’t mind upsetting people if they are not good enough. Levy probably worried that Conte’s demands would actually mean investment in decent players, which would mean forking out money. As an important aside, does anyone know how much he has actually had to fork out in compensation to the growing list of sacked managers? Just asking.

If I was Nuno, I would say today: ‘Let’s make sure we all forget about each other forever and ever.’ I would also say that to any sane Tottenham supporter.

He’s got to go, too many tactical errors in several games starting with Arsenal and continuing into yesterday.

The wrong person is being sacked, if Nuno goes. Nuno was supposed to be the ninth choice personally I’d go for the fifth or sixth choice.

The old “Harry had an agreement” and “who can blame him” is easily answered….the only agreement worth talking about is the contract agreement he was happy to sign pocketing 200k a week.

I don’t care about Harry Kane’s happiness…..he plays for the team I support so he should get on with it or drop to the bench until we get rid of him because he obviously is not @*r$€d anymore.

Stevie came on last night and it was his usual safe play and not taking anyone on.
Get rid of Dier, Winks, Stevie, Ndomble, Kane.
Rondon is a good defender but an old fashioned Row Z hoofer.
Lloris will leave at the end of the season.
We need to bring in a decent manager and see if Kane gets interested again otherwise take what we get for him.

The only shining lights we have are Cuti, Royal, Reggie (I know he gets caught out of pos etc), Holts, Skipp (please tell him passing forward is not banned), Sonny

We are a mid table team and short half a team.

Nuno is a nice man who plays Muck Football. Next!!

Kane is not a potentially world class striker,he is a world class striker. He just can’t be arsed after the way Levy treated him and who can blame him.

Hopefully Levy will reap a whole world of pain because of his mismanagement of Spurs.
