‘Talks have begun…’ – Tancredi Palmeri provides extremely concerning update for Tottenham fans

By Mehdi Gokal -

Juventus have reportedly approached Antonio Conte about taking over as manager of the club in place of Massimiliano Allegri.

According to journalist Tancredi Palmeri via Sport Today, Juventus have begun the recruitment process to find a successor for Allegri should the Italian manager face the sack after a shocking start to the season, with the Bianconeri looking to appoint Conte or Zinedine Zidane as their next head coach.

Speaking about Juventus’ plan to appoint Conte, he said: “Talks have begun with Antonio Conte, who has not rejected the idea of returning to Juventus and has kept himself open to any possible return to his former club.”

Juventus is eighth in Serie A with just two wins, having lost this weekend to newly promoted and then-winless Monza.

Allegri’s side has also yet to win a single point in the UEFA Champions League, despite being in a somewhat favourable group with Benfica and Maccabi Haifa.

With recent reports claiming that Daniel Levy has set a January deadline for Conte, the 53-year-chances old’s of returning to Juventus may be higher than some expect

While Conte has had a strong start to the season with Tottenham, the prospect of returning to a former club in Juventus could be appealing to the four-time Serie A champion.

Conte is arguably the best manager Tottenham have had in the Premier League in terms of tactical quality, and Spurs must ensure that if an offer comes in, their head coach does not pack up and return to Juventus.

Conte has the potential to end Tottenham’s trophy drought, and the manager leaving mid-season for Juventus would not only be detrimental, but would also paint a negative image for the Premier League club.

Conte goes nowhere !
This club has so much potential , he has brought a stability with a purpose . To build on what we have , superb state of the art facilities and success is on our doorstep .
Italy , also in the froes of financial depression , can not have as much scope to improve as at Spurs …….. our return to more glorious times can be achieved in the not-too distant future . Rose coloured glasses ? Possibly – but where is the edge in returning to Juve ???

Conte’s family home is in Turin (they haven’t moved to London), he knows the club intimately. So he will have known that the job there was something that might be coming up. He wasn’t working after he left Inter, so Paraciti asked him to come in for a couple of well paid seasons to finish in the top 4 as the main objective. He’s succeeded in that so now there’s nowhere else to go but bs k to his beloved Juventus. He’s been biding his time with us and doing his job well, I wish him luck…

He saw through Levy’s bs immediately, and understands he’s at a club whose owners have no ambition. Managers before him have put up with it. Not this guy. And as if he hadn’t incentive enough to head for the door, our esteemed chairman thinks it’s a good idea to issue ultimatums to a manager who walks out doors for fun.
Way to go Danny.
If there was a trophy for ineptitude, the cabinet would need an extension.
