Tottenham was beaten 1-0 today by Royal Antwerp as they suffered their second competitive defeat of the season.
Jose Mourinho had made a number of changes to his team sheet, handing starts to Dele Alli and new boy Carlos Vinicius.
The Lilywhites were favourites to win the game even though they are yet to win a game in Belgium in any European competition.
The likes of Alli will know that it was a rare chance to impress and opportunity to get back into the starting XI.
But Spurs were sloppy in the first half and they didn’t start the game how Mourinho will have liked them to.
The Belgians took the lead in the opening 45 minutes and Spurs had to respond. They didn’t do that and Mourinho watched in frustration as the likes of Alli and Vinicius failed to get the team back in the game and he made four substitutions at half time.
He changed Alli, Giovanni Le Celso, Steven Bergwijn, and Vinicius, yet Spurs lost the game and some fans took to Twitter to react, as published by the Daily Mail.
One fan Tweeted: “Mourinho made FOUR subs at halftime? Surely that’s got to be some sort record”
Another Tweeted: “Love seeing Mourinho lose the plot, four subs at half time”
Another Tweeted: “Four subs at half time? It’s ‘The Mourinho Show’”
More reactions were: “**** Mourinho made FOUR SUBS”
“Rubbish performance by spurs . Mourinho blizzard four subs did not help”

Perhaps.
80% of the players were heavy legged. So How can d new boys play too.
D players didnt wake up.No team wirk
Plus Son and Kane
Perhaps he should have introduced Clarke, Cirkin and White at HT?!!
Sadly Bale was one of the casualties who fluffed his lines!!
His confidence shot to bits Alli has gone!
Designed to construct a winning culture not a losing one, hooking off underperforming players I applaud Jose’s brutal approach where the whole team/squad if they are not already will be under no illusion what level of performance is required!
Four halftime changes. Massive call. Should’ve trusted at least half of those for an hour maybe. Its not a good look. Had it’ve worked, genius. We move on.
