Steve Nicol tips Daniel Levy to block Spurs exit for Harry Kane this summer

Pundit Steve Nicol believes that Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy will not allow a scenario in which the club lose talisman Harry Kane this summer.

As noted by the Sun, the 26-year-old has been linked with the likes of Real Madrid and Juventus as ongoing speculation continues to surface over his future.

Having bagged 17 goals in just 25 games prior to his injury this season, the influential ace has once again proven his importance to Spurs, and Nicol is adamant that one man will ensure that he doesn’t move on at the end of the season.

“Well unfortunately for him he signed a long-term deal and Daniel Levy’s not a guy who’s going to bend for anybody,” Nicol is quoted as saying by the Express.

“To me, I just don’t see how Harry Kane, whether he wants to go or not, is going.”

Kane’s current deal with Tottenham runs until 2024, and so that undoubtedly puts them in a strong position when it comes to not only keeping him but also demanding a hefty fee to let him leave.

Nevertheless, as noted above given his influence for Spurs, Jose Mourinho will hope to keep him this summer and build around him rather than have to try and find a suitable replacement.

With everything going on I couldn’t see Harry kicking up the kind of PR stink he’d need to to force an exit this year. Plus Maureen will be showing him 12 types of lovin.

He’ll go just before or more likely just after next year’s Euros.
