Spurs to hit Kane with disciplinary action and remain keen on keeping him

By Bruce Grove -

Harry Kane’s decision to skip the first day of his return to Tottenham training hasn’t gone down well with the club and he is set to be fined for his action, according to Sun Sports.

The England captain had told Tottenham that he wants to leave before Euro 2020.

The Lilywhites remain keen on keeping hold of him and won’t make it easy for any club to sign him.

Manchester City is the suitor with the most serious interest in his signature at the moment, but it seems Spurs will make Kane miss out on joining Pep Guardiola’s side who also want to sign Jack Grealish.

The report claims that the attacker believes he has a gentleman’s agreement to leave Tottenham for the right price this summer.

But he feels he has to do something extreme to finally get Spurs to listen to his desire to change clubs.

The striker has now taken to not showing up to send a message, but the club remains adamant that he will stay unless a club meets their £160million valuation.

City is reportedly ready to increase its offer which currently stands at around £100million.

It remains unclear how long Kane will stay away from the club, but Tottenham will fine him for each day he misses training and rightfully so.

Maybe do some homework. HK was never supposed to be training yesterday. He was in fact, supposed to have a Covid test to get the all clear to resume training.

Harry,
Given that most of us who go on your website and watch your daily briefings with interest are of the same mind and above all are adults, why is your episode today so fixated with the media circus around Kane. We’ve all heard it before and know how things play out, so let it go, move on, its not news!. More importantly, if the Romero transfer gets done then there is a one glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel.

Maybe because Kane was playin in that newly recreated “Deep lying Striker position” which happen to be behind Sterling at the 10 spot. Name me the creative midfielder that starts for England at the Euros. I can name one that never see the light of day too often. Jack Grealish. Not sure why you would blame Sterlings game when he was the only one attacking the defense.

We had one play maker in 7 years, Erikssen and you want to go down that route again. They bedded in the club. The problem is NDOMBELE is a holding mid with tremendous skillset playing in an advance role because ….wait for it, we have one play maker in Locelso who cannot stay healthy, but getting Silva should not require off loading either. Now we will have 3 players with the abilities to function in the final third, and i saying this ignoring Delle Ali is still there. We need the personnel. We cannot offload without getting like for like in additional to picking up a real #8.

Too much commonsense and no one here is going to jump all over you to challenge the salient points. Trust me on that. Kane is wrong, Levy is a top class jerk doing business of behalf of the club. Why give a way your asset thou, it would make Levy a full blown idiot to fulfill his on the street cred. Reminder Kane is home grown so what we should recoup every penny of that investment. City can afford it just based on income generated from last year CL, PL, cups, and players sale and we have not touch the Shiek piggy bank. Payup or shut up. All spurs have to lose is Kane salary over the years and like you said, he is one injury away from such reality.

Levy is simply asking Manchester City FC the richest club in the world to pay what Harry Kane is worth

Or are the City owners being tarred with the same brush as Levy for not paying the asking price——- No they are not

it is still Levy`s fault ……. unbelievable

Forgot about Levy in all this for a moment, it’s easy to blame him for everything and I agree the sh**show we have experienced over the last number of years is solely down to him (Before anyone jumps on me as an ‘apologist’). But lets get to the facts….We have a player with a signed written legal contract with 3 years remaining. He is top scorer and top provider in PL he is at the peak of his career. Why shouldn’t he be let go on the clubs terms?

Had Kane had a serious injury, he would have still been paid. Signing a huge contract is a gamble from both sides. Kane could quite easily have become a journey man, from a business perspective the gamble has paid off for ENIC, they are no doubt going to get a near world record fee for him.

Turn this around and if Levy had let him go for 50m because they had a ‘Gentleman’s agreement’ we would be all over him saying why are you letting the best striker in world football go for less than market value.

Yes levy let him down by not creating a squad to challenge, but then why did he sign a 6 year contract with no release clause. Maybe at the time Harry thought this might be as good as it gets.

I think Kane trusted Levy unfortunately and as you say isn’t the brightest when it comes to that side of things. He’s been badly advised by someone.

I take it Kane knows what you know and if not he is not very bright

so why sign a contract for 6 years knowing exactly what you all seem to know

whatever way you put it Kane has thrown a hand grenade into the club

The club is on it’s knees due to Levy and enic not Kane.

I will side with Kane against Levy every day of the week. Kane told him that he would stay at Spurs as long as Levy matched his ambition. He didn’t, quite the opposite in fact. So Levy lied and played Kane like a fool, taking advantage of his good nature and loyalty.
Perhaps it would have been better for Kane’s camp to issue a clear statement saying he wanted to leave now and giving the reasons why, instead of missing training, though whether Levy would have taken any notice of that is debateable. Sometimes you have to resort to tougher action against somebody like Levy and enic – action they understand and that drops to their own level.

I’m with Harry Kane on this one. Levy has let Kane and the fans down. Levy getting what he deserves.

You can add the 2015 League Cup final and the 2021 Euros final to that list of no shows in the biggest games.

Disappointed in Kane is an understatement, i understand he wants out but surely there was a better way than this

the club are already on there knees, as he well knows, and all he has done is give all opposing fans and media the amo to kick us whilst were down

What a sh1t show

He’s doing what Bale did, but without the injury nonsense. I lost all respect for Bale then never wanted him back either.
Kane can fuxk off as well.
Wants trophies ? Well how about scoring when you get the chance ? Champions League Reds 2 Spurs 0. League Cup City 1 Spurs 0.
Getting a bit above himself and hope he falls flat on his face. Jimmy Greaves would never had done this.

City are trying to buy him as cheaply as possible. This is one of the few times that’s it’s hard to pin the blame on Levy.

Simple stats:

Grealish is 25, about to turn 26
Grealish has less goal contributions during his entire PL career than Kane had just last year (34 in 96)
City have apparently bid £100m for Grealish

Kane is 28 (and a handful of days)
Kane has 204 PL goal contributions (204 in 245)
Kane has 3 PL golden boots and 1 top assist
City apparently also value this at £100m

Harry needs to understand that City are causing this tension by trying to buy a Bentley for BMW money.

Agree with offloading Ndombele. Lo Celso perhaps should be given more of a chance

£90 million and Silva would be a result if the lad turns up at Spurs with the right attitude and takes a trim off his wages – but that’s a big ‘if’

We need a playmaker right now. Correction: Spurs could always do with a new playmaker

Can’t think of another suitable player for a swap really…

Well, Sterling is England’s 1st or 2nd best/most effective player…and City’s 10th or 11th best/most effective player based on last season

Bridges will be burnt if this continues. The most feasible outcome is a player plus cash exchange. City won’t stump up £160M. But who from City would we take? Dias plus £90M will do😊

Sterling passed to Kane less than five times in 20 internationals. Does he think things will change up in the rain and cold of Salford.

Doing a Berbatov!

Ruined Berbs career in so far as being a top class player, he won trophies but never played as well after going on strike for close to a year before the move.

You can definitely tell he still views ‘his club’ as Spurs when talking to the media/working as a pundit – he knows he played his best football for Spurs, all the best clips are him wearing lilywhite.

Kane seems like he could go down the same path….
