Spurs shopping defender around Europe and want at least £10 Million
By Bruce Grove -

Tottenham is prepared to accept any bid in the region of £10 million for the signature of Juan Foyth, according to a report from CalcioMercato.

The defender moved to Tottenham from his native Argentina in 2017 after he impressed Mauricio Pochettino.

The former Spurs boss began to ease him into life as a Tottenham player, but he was fired this season.

After the loss of the manager that signed him, Foyth has struggled to get near the first team.

Jose Mourinho hasn’t seen enough in training to trust him with more opportunities and that has frustrated the former Estudiantes man claims the same report.

His agent has been outspoken about the player’s frustration and it seems Spurs want to cut him loose.

The Lilywhites have reportedly shopped him around Europe, and they even offered him to Barcelona.

CalcioMercato is also claiming that Tottenham has set their asking price for the defender at £10million.

They are looking to make a £2 million profit from his sale after signing him for £8 million three years ago.

The report further claims that a move to the Italian league is very much a possibility as his representatives had sounded out some clubs there in the past.

The likes of Atalanta and Fiorentina have spoken to his representatives before, and those talks could get back underway.

I still think Foyth has potential, but he overplays it on occasion, which is ok for attackers. Unfortunately he has been caught with his pants down costing us goals. For me he needed to bulk up too, always looked flimsy. Read today Leeds are interested, which with Bielsa’s style of play would be a good fit.
