Tottenham legend Ossie Ardiles has revealed that former Spurs boss, Mauricio Pocehettino is in a good place and knows exactly what he wants despite being out of a job since he was fired by Tottenham.
Poch spent five and a half years as the manager of Tottenham and he helped them to reach the final of the Champions League in 2019.
The former Southampton boss was expected to help the club build on that last season, but they didn’t start their campaign well and he was fired before January.
He hasn’t won any major trophy as a manager, but he remains highly-rated, and he is one manager that most teams would jump at the chance of employing.
His absence from the game for so long has made some to wonder if he is no longer a desirable manager, but Ardiles has revealed that he has been out of a job not because he hasn’t had offers, but because he knows what he wants and he is waiting for the right opportunity.
He said as quoted by the Standard: “[Pochettino] has had a few offers, but for one reason or another it’s not happened.
“He’s just waiting and he’s in a very good position, he can more or less choose where to go.
“He knows exactly what he wants to do.
“Football is his life, so he’s been watching everything and he likes to talk about football.
“He’ll take his time and, before long, he’ll be working again.”
