The latest Tottenham injury update, according to the Telegraph, is not the best of news for two solid reasons.
Japhet Tanganga has been ruled out of the clash with Man Utd on Friday night because of a suspected stress fracture to his back.
That alone is bad enough, the 21-year-old was improving game by game but it also means that Serge Aurier is almost certain to start at right-back now and that makes the injury to Tanganga a double whammy.
The youngster may not be the finished article but he is certainly an upgrade on Aurier who is a walking talking disaster as a defender.
At the time of writing this, nothing has been officially announced on the club’s website or Twitter account but I doubt the Telegraph would have run with this if it was not true.

Tanganga is expected to be out for several weeks and that means we will be stuck with Aurier on the right and unless he has all of sudden sorted his game out we will be very vulnerable down that flank.
It is what it is and this latest Tottenham injury may force Jose Mourinho to seriously consider going with three central defenders and two wing-backs instead of a straight back four, that would at least utilise one of the few strengths that Aurier does possess, his ability to go forward because his defending ain’t worth squat.
Terrible news the boy has looked a real prospect
Chin up japh, you’ll be back.
Id try it at least when he messes up he can blame it on youth!!!! Aurier is a game of russian roulette with half the barrels loaded
Id go for it i mean at least if he fucks up he has youth on his side aurier is a game of russian roulette half barrels loaded!
Why did you start that statement with dont worry?
Bad news. Aurier needs a big performance
He needs to get a new sofa, if he got a stress fracture sitting at home, FFS!
I’d play Foyth ahead of Aurier.
Typical !
Don’t worry, United will target Aurier and attack with pace our right side while he stands hands on hips in the United half watching as his team mates scramble to fill the hole he has left and our whole defence gets pulled out of position leaving the left flank vulnerable as well.
