Spurs Fan Urinated By Police Officers’ Memorial

By The Boy -

The recent protests sweeping England have degenerated into a sorry business with neither the police, Antifa, nor football fans coming out of the situation well. The latest individual to hit the headlines for the wrong reasons is Tottenham fan, Andy Banks.

Banks, 28, of Stansted, Essex, has been charged with outraging public decency by urinating by the memorial to murdered PC Keith Palmer (PC Palmer, 48, was fatally stabbed by a terrorist armed with a knife at Westminster in March 2017.)

Whilst it is unlikely that this man intended to cause any disrespect, the incident is problematic in so much that urinating in a public place is an offence, and had the person been identified as an Antifa protagonist, then one can only imagine the public response.

Banks has been held in custody to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court tomorrow morning (Monday, June 15).

The offence is currently prosecuted around 400-500 times per year, according to the Crown Prosecution Service.

In the current climate, one might expect THFC to issue a ban into the bargain.

When I saw the picture I suddenly realised that this was not some act of deliberate desecration of
the memorial to PC Palmer, which the media frenzy over the incident suggested.

He was clearly drunk as a skunk and had no idea where he was urinating. This is not an excuse but a fact.

Sections of the media have clearly tried to tie this in with the vandalism to the Churchill monument in order to create public and moral outrage.

Just ban him for being a stupid €unt and move on please.

A well intentioned wave of anti racist sentiment has been hijacked by the usual suspects. The idiotic far left and anarchist groups loosely aligned with Antifa,
and then the Britain First hard right mob of equally pi$$ed up idiots in response. Whenever politics goes over to the outer fringes, the weirdos always turn up…

I don’t doubt he had a beer or two during the day.The problem is that apparently all public conveniences are closed during COVID-19 so what’s a boy to do?

I cant decide if this act is a lack of respect to the PC or just plain ignorance of his behaviour in a public place, whichever, he will probably just laugh it off when he gets released and have no regrets.
