Son rewarded with Premier League Player of the Month

By Bruce Grove -

Son Heung-min has been rewarded for his fine start to the season after he was awarded the Premier League’s Player of the Month for October, as reported by the Mail.

The South Korean has made the finest of starts to the season, scoring 8 goals in as many league games for Spurs.

This season has seen him form a deadly strike partnership with Harry Kane in the Tottenham attack as they look to help the club end their wait for another trophy.

The month of October was a fine one for Tottenham who beat Manchester United 6-1 at Old Trafford, among other results.

Son contributed four goals and three assists to Spurs in the Premier League last month, and that has been enough to help him beat the likes of Jack Grealish and Kane to win the award for the third time.

He has previously won it in September 2016 and April 2017.

He is also Tottenham’s first recipient of the award since Lucas Moura won it in August 2018.

Son has been improving for years now, but this season has seen him take his game to a whole new level.

He will hope that his form can help Spurs win the Premier League.
