The 22-year-old has bagged two goals in seven games for Spurs thus far, showing a level of quality needed to improve the squad and help Jose Mourinho’s side compete on multiple fronts.

Given the injuries to the likes of Harry Kane and Heung Min-Son, it hasn’t been easy for the Dutchman as he’s had to take on more responsibility than expected so early in his stint with Tottenham.

Further, to cover those absences, he hasn’t always been deployed in his most effective position, but the fact that he has managed to make a positive impression thus far regardless is a real credit to him.
Having also picked up an injury blow prior to the suspension of fixtures, Bergwijn will hope to show more of his pace, quality on the ball and goal threat either when the current campaign concludes or when the new season starts.
