Sky Sports Editor Asks If The Cracks Run ‘Too Deep’ At Spurs After Explosive Quotes Emerge

It feels like the lid is about to blow at Tottenham Hotspur Football Club, all the signs are there, and the most telling are now not based upon speculation after the odd bad game, but actual quotes from key characters within the club. If I could be granted one footballing wish, right now, it would be to send the Amazon cameras back into Hotspur Way. Of course, that’s a fanciful notion, as nothing Daniel Levy truly had issues with the last time around got out – so they certainly wouldn’t a second time either.

I take a view that the cracks do run much deeper than the average fan might imagine. As Lyall comments, even sides that we might have previously thought of as comparatively modest have whistled past Tottenham and her billion-pound stadium. As I predicted (a prediction that gave me no pleasure) the business model under ENIC has never had football as its number one priority. Unless of course, the football just ‘coincidentally’ just happened going down the tubes once the stadium build began in earnest.

Jonathan Veal for PA Sport earlier described Hugo’s post-match comments as ‘explosive’. This isn’t going to fix itself.

Similarly few people would bring up Doherty’s history as an Arsenal fan, were he actually any good. Mourinho’s Chelsea past, 15M/year and supposed bus parking were always coming up, if the results weren’t great.

Mourinho came with baggage and the fact he was Chelsea manager and very successful at it despite getting sacked twice. For many Spurs fans he’s an appointment they cannot accept.

Funny though, they don’t mention Greavsie coming from them or Hod the god going the other way 🤷🏻‍♂️

In tandem with Levy’s notoriously “shrewd” pricing of players…we’re in for a long few summer windows.

Dele at 80M? Dear Lord.

Yeah. The fact Rose is still on the payrole is bananas. So many unsellables.

Exactly the point I and others have been making for weeks. People have hated Mourinho since he walked in, but are quick to say our players can play decent football even now, despite two or three years of evidence to the contrary.

I think this blogs cull a few years ago is something Levy never understood he needed to do with the squad. Best example of this is Rose should have gone after the first fall out rather than pay he a wage for years after, The players whilst assets are must be moved on for the greater good of success and this is also when you have attitude issues. But with the stadium in such debt we’ve seen players rundown contacts (depreciation of assets) rather than sell them when you can get best prices with them if they don’t fit like we did with Walker.

About 5 years ago before the cull and the previous visiters to this blog departed, I described THFC as a club on the brink… to some derision. It was clear to some of us where this was heading with the ENIC “brave new world”. I replyed to said derision, “see you in 5 years”.

And here we are. The very fabric of the club has been irriversably damaged. Soul destroyed. Players can sense that, and when most of them are the wrong players that’s a poisonous combo.
I don’t recognize this….whatever it is now….it’s all so sad.

RIP THFC

The fact the players stopped playing for Poch tells me they’re more the problem not the manager.

‘Tottenham and her 1B stadium’

Levy himself catagorically stated that the build would not impact transfer business..However the brakes were well and truly on during that period and we are still conducting transfers [when we do] in the same miserly way.

Long live poundland.
