Should Tottenham re-sign Eriksen if the opportunity arises?

By Bruce Grove -

Football Insider claims that Tottenham has been handed the chance to re-sign Christian Eriksen after his underwhelming stint at Inter Milan.

The Swede was one of the key players at Tottenham for years before he decided against signing a new deal at the club last year.

He earned a January move to Inter Milan, but less than a year in, the Italians seem to have found out that he isn’t what they thought he was.

Inter are now looking to offload him in the next transfer window, the report claims.

It adds that Inter has asked intermediaries to try and broker a deal for them on the transfer of Eriksen with Tottenham and other English teams.

The report further claims that the Italians are keen to get rid of his salary from their wage bill as they look to readjust themselves to the new realities brought upon them by the coronavirus pandemic.

It will be interesting to see if Spurs will take him back considering that the club was keen for him to remain with them, but he was adamant that he needed a change of scenery.

The team is also doing very well without him at the moment, so signing him might not make so much sense.

Do you think Spurs should re-sign him?

Most definitely not… One step forward was getting rid of him. Signing him would be two steps back.

I don’t think they should sign the Swedish Eriksen or the Danish one.

If he did come back could we say he ‘did a Robbie Keane at Liverpool’? 😂

If his heart was really in it then maybe…but as we can’t know for sure we’ll probably swerve this opportunity.

He shouldn’t come back to warm the bench, he’s not the player to work well in that scenario.

Think he means Eriksen is a root vegetable.

So more like a yam, beet, parsnip, turnip, rutabaga, carrot, yuca, kohlrabi, onion, garlic, celery
